Why is Krakauer attacking Kirsten Pabst?

There's a Missoulian article with a bunch of quotes from him tonight. (I'm over my limit, so can't obtain to link.) Attacking Pabst. Pabst is an all-star. She has been terrific for women and prosecution of sexual assault in Montana for decades, and is a great attorney. Has won some accolades for those things.

She must have stood up to him or irked him somewhere along the line. If so, good for her.

I see in his quotes that he's surprised that people are offended by his title "Missoula". I don't believe him; he's already making excuses and starting to sting from the criticism he's gotten. I think there will be more.

This could get interesting.

^^^ this ^^^

"I don't trust Pabst. She's a politician. When she ran for elected office, she was all about compassion. Give me a (expletive) break," Krakauer said.

Well guess what? Pabst doesn't trust Krakauer. Imagine that.

It reads as though Florio found a mouthpiece.

Pabst did the unforgivable to the social justice warriors; she concedes that, in real life, there can be two sides to any situation. This was supposed to be the Pulitzer Prize winning expose of the lengths that a community will go to to save its popular football quarterback. Instead, it became an expose of the inner workings of a corrupted and unforgiving social justice network, led by the local "reporter," attempting to rescue a likely fabulist from her own misguided and failed effort to become the girlfriend of said Quarterback, an effort gone horribly wrong.

Pabst was a traitor to the cause.

Does the jury's verdict have any meaning in any of this?
Never let the facts get in the way of a story.

Well said 75.

Florio didn't win the PP (lol) did she?

I don't think the book ever intended on being primarily about the JJ incident. I would bet that the book spends far less time covering that than many expect.

No. I wrote the committee offering a strong objection, and that I would never speak to any of them again if they awarded her the prize. It must have worked.

I have not visited with one female that is in step with Krakauer. 99% of my female friends simply think Pabst is a very good human. I like Pabst but have not met her. I think Missoula County is in good hands with her in the controls.
