The numbers 4 and 6 seem to be bobcat/Aggie/farmers numbers.
1899-1903 six victories in those four years; 1956-1959(4); 1963-1968(6); 1972-1977(6); then the current four year 'streak.'

No game years(6): 1905-1907 as MSU faculty canceled football (pulled an Engstrom before he was even born)after losing to the Griz 79-0 in 1904; 1915 no apparent reason; 1918 Spanish Flu and something called WWI; 1924 Griz moved to a more competitive conference and left the scats high and dry. :lol:

Here are a few other facts:
1909-1928 'Streak' of 19 Griz wins, interrupted by the three no game years; 1933-1946 ten straight wins interrupted by that pesky FOUR year WWII for the seasons of 1942-1945; 1948-1955(8 game 'streak'). Then, of course is 'The Streak' of 1986- 2001.

One last zinger, 47 years without a win over the Griz in Bozeman(1909-1956). To be fair, they did win three games while the game was held in Butte(22 years), and that pesky WWII hiatus.

For a short period of time each year, yes. But I neither live nor die by the result of the Griz/Scat game…
