Why didn't players stay on field after win?

Anybody know why the team didn't stay on the field after the win? Trotted out the tunnel after singing UWMB to the parent section. Staying on the field and talking to kids and fans after games is one of the nicest things about Griz football, in my view.

They announced several times that would happen. They had a team meeting and came back out 15 minutes later with tons of people ready to greet them.

Didn't hear the announcement, and didn't wait 15 minutes. How was the celebration? Thx.

They reappeared a few minutes later and stayed out a long time. I was able to greet our new #37 Kidder as well as #47 Crittenden and #3 Gustafson and even got a hug from Coach Stitt.

Tons of emotion on the field. It was actually kinda cool having families out there already by the time their kids got back on the field.

Ty explained it on the interview with Mick and Gurns on the radio - basically, Stitt just wants a couple minutes to the guys to give them a chance to cool down the game emotions, say what he needs to say to the team, then send them back out. Stitt thinks what happens at the end of games (fans mingling with players on the field) is a great tradition and wants to keep it.
