Why did UM put lights in the WAGRIZ ?

Friday night lights was awesome in 2011 against Northern Iowa. It is more beneficial for practice. Now practice can go past 5 pm.
 
I have wondered if that didn't eliminate the silver tip skydivers? Lot of obstacles there to contend with. Course, I never jumped before.
 
The lights were put as an agreement for the ROOT Sports contract with the Big Sky. They need lights in all stadiums. Lights were actually 4th on the list of planned updates but were moved up because of the ROOT TV deal.
 
An additional complication for a night game on December 7 would have been the already-scheduled second night of the Lady Griz Holiday Tournament. Games scheduled for 5:30 and 7:30.
 
game times set by ESPN. No one else. Lights were also installed for practice which is clearly helping. UM practices later now, and players can all go to all their classes every day and not miss parts or all of practices.
