"What an incredibly class act by Coach Delaney" Panhandle State coach Russell Gaskamp said of UM's decision to plug in reserves before the end of the first quarter. "That game could have gotten out of control. There's a lot of coaches across America that would have used that game to pad stats..."
To steal from Scent of A Woman:
And that, my friends, is called integrity. Now that's the stuff leaders should be made of.
It's a good thing for your sake then that he didn't allow many games to get out of control. Most coaches with any common sense would have left their starters in for the first half instead of pulling them so quickly regardless of score.
Remind us all how the following week went for the Griz. Do you think playing many of the starters for less than one single quarter benefited anyone other than Panhandle St, NAU and you??? Do you think maybe the Griz could have played a little better against NAU if they had more game time the week prior to that...Hmmm I wonder how wise that was of him to put in reserves after a couple series. It's no wonder why as one Griz O-lineman put it they were in a scrimmage mentality.
