Why Can Southern Utah Out-Recruit Us?

There are two possible reasons that So. Utah can do this:

1) they are better at evaluating high school talent than we are
2) this was a one-time phenomenon, and they got lucky with lightly-recruited players that developed into studs.

1) No.
2) No. Unknown players drafted by the NFL came from such remote football outposts as Samford, NC Central, South Carolina State, Midwestern State, West Alabama, Grand Valley State, William and Mary, Maine, UM, MSU and SUU this year. It's not luck and it's not a one-time deal either. Talent doesn't always end up at power five schools or, at the FCS level, in Missoula or Fargo.

Or, perhaps, kid from big cities such as LA, San Diego, Las Vegas or Phoenix wants to play in Cedar City because they prefer warmer weather. Or because it's closer to home/family. Or because they hit if off better with SUU's coaching staff. Or....I know this is crazy talk so bear with me....every kid isn't smitten with Missoula/U of M.

Kudos to the coaching staff at SUU for taking on kids who maybe didn't get a whole lot of looks from bigger schools. These kids worked hard and were successful at a place that most fans don't think would be possible. This is good for the conference as a whole.

Yeah, it is cool playing college football in a high school stadium in front of 3,000 voracious fans! Even better is spending four years in the thriving megalopolis of Cedar Shitty, Utah.

It is sort of like you living in a van down by the river. Most of us wouldn't choose to do it, but it fits for you. Who are we to judge?

As i said, GFY. you aren't the board policeman, even though you think you are. Was in the Mo Club yesterday laughing about you with several locals. God, your reputation in town is lower than an Berkeley pit earthworm.

No you weren't

Oh, so you stalking my whereabouts now?

Considering your posts yesterday showed an IP address in Seattle...

Hahaha.

CV, Mo Club has great burgers and always kind of had some nostalgia of being old Missoula with a great collection of local sports memories. That is why I like the place and visit for a PBR and a pepper jack cheese burger when I'm back in Missoula.

Some will brag about being there because it is the jock bar. It has been or at least use to be a hang-out and employer for players and many in the athletic department use to frequent there. Not sure why the old guys on here argue about the place, but I'm sure it has to do with that...

IP address in Seattle? I haven't been to Seattle in 5 years. You need to bone up on IP addresses. I arrived in Missoula on June 7th, and have not left. Finally, how would Eriul, whoever he/she is, have access to information about my IP address? Are you giving out personal information about posters without authorization to do so?

Your house would fit nicely into my house, with room to spare. Trying to be funny obviously is not your forte'. And football knowledge isn't either. In fact, we all wonder what you could possibly be good at.

You didn't apologize to Eriul, as I also said in my prior post. You owe her an apology. You called her out on this several times. Now apologize.

Just a side note. What's the attraction to the Mo Club anyway? Kind of a dump actually....Is that why the egriz fights are scheduled there?

You shut your whore mouth!

The mods are clueless about IP addresses. There is no way I can have a Seattle IP address while being in Missoula. But it is truly troubling that they are giving out information to random posters.

Is it painful for you to give anyone else any sort of credit?

SUU won the league last year. UM didn't. EWU didn't. MSU didn't. PSU didn't. UND didn't. NAU didn't, etc. SUU did what they had to.

Missoula's a nice town but the majority of the sports fan world thinks it's about as much of a metropolis as Cedar City is. No snark intended.
