Why Can Southern Utah Out-Recruit Us?

Tru was never in any trouble in high school. NEVER. There were no "off the field issues" that made Pac 12 coaches back off him. He was considered a WR by ALL coaches coming out of his high school, and, at that position, FBS coaches didn't think he was good enough to earn a schollie. You don't believe me on that Growler? Ask Tru. He's only been quoted as saying that about 100 times. Tru was also listed as a WR on his Griz signing day bio. Bobby Hauck made the move to switch him, and Tru went for it. It turned out, he was a Pac 12 caliber defensive back, and an NFL caliber defensive back. But, I know for a fact, no NFL teams were scouting Tru as an NFL corner coming out of high school.

See where I'm going with this Growler? Or do I need to dumb it down for you?

If so, I don't think the two SUU defensive backs were NFL caliber, or NFL ready coming out of high school either, just like Tru. They had to work at it, develop, and get better, which, they obviously did. But no, they were not nighly sought-after recruits in high school.

God, what a stupid post, even for you. NFL teams scouting high school players???? :stupid:

Yeah, and he was a model citizen in Missoula too, eh? Bitch-kicked a frat boy, tazed by police, end-zone gang hand signs in the end zone after a pick-six. Go back to sleep

Let's hear more of an apology Atlanta.

I already posted that I was wrong. But that's not good enough for you, huh? So, GFY.

You didn't apologize to Eriul, as I also said in my prior post. You owe her an apology. You called her out on this several times. Now apologize.

No evidence that he kicked anyone, let alone a frat boy. Keep in mind that my secretary was the mom of the kid at the frat, so don't make up any BS. Wrongly tased by police, and charges withdraw, except for disorderly conduct. The police were wrong and quickly backed off. No end zone or other gang signs. Just didn't happen.

Have you ever posted a stat or fact that was accurate? I can't recall any. There must have been something.

He did call himself a "douche bagae" in another thread. I'm not sure if that's a stat or a fact, or both, but it is accurate.

You're the one who said SUU out recruit's UM and then it doesn't.

why don't you read the entire thread so I don't have to dumb it down for you an explain it for the 4th time.

Oh, and you are 100% wrong saying that Trumaine was a 'low WR recruit". He was the star recruit from his recruiting class, and would have gone Pac 10 if not for some off-field issues.

Umm I read the whole thread. You're the one flip flopping your argument after the thread title clearly states Suu out recruits us. Tru was an unranked high school prospect and he thought he was good enough for pac 10, thus his interest, but those schools highly highly disagreed. His wr skills were mid fcs at best. His dedication, transition to corner, and the great coaching is what got him where he is at. He would be the first to tell you that too

Wrong. But why waste time with a poster with an agenda? Your post proves that you know jack sh*t about Tru. I have been a Rivals.com member for many years. Trumaine was a 2-star recruit on Rivals.

I just went back and checked Trumaine from rivals. I stand corrected, it is true that tru did not have any stars from Rivals. But he did have lots of PAC 12 interest.

This made me chuckle a bit.

I didn't even know he spoke Scottish!

Actually, in Scottish it's "Dooche Poke." My caddy @ Carnoustie called me that for most of the round last summer.

I think "douche bagae" is from one of the traditional nomadic languages. Nomadic as in wandering around F$%king aimlessly, spouting crap and shouting "look @ me, look @ me."

Edit: I know already, something like I do each post here.

Why should anyone believe you, the chief apologist for every Griz arrested? According to you, no Griz football player ever committed a criminal act. You have ZERO credibility with any Griz fan I know, and I know plenty of 'em! My son was a member of that fraternity, and it definately happened. The gang sign also happened, and both offenses were discussed at length on this site. Your constant spin only solidifies the fact that these things occurred. Your reputation precedes you.

There are two possible reasons that So. Utah can do this:

1) they are better at evaluating high school talent than we are
2) this was a one-time phenomenon, and they got lucky with lightly-recruited players that developed into studs.

1) No.
2) No. Unknown players drafted by the NFL came from such remote football outposts as Samford, NC Central, South Carolina State, Midwestern State, West Alabama, Grand Valley State, William and Mary, Maine, UM, MSU and SUU this year. It's not luck and it's not a one-time deal either. Talent doesn't always end up at power five schools or, at the FCS level, in Missoula or Fargo.

Or, perhaps, kid from big cities such as LA, San Diego, Las Vegas or Phoenix wants to play in Cedar City because they prefer warmer weather. Or because it's closer to home/family. Or because they hit if off better with SUU's coaching staff. Or....I know this is crazy talk so bear with me....every kid isn't smitten with Missoula/U of M.

Kudos to the coaching staff at SUU for taking on kids who maybe didn't get a whole lot of looks from bigger schools. These kids worked hard and were successful at a place that most fans don't think would be possible. This is good for the conference as a whole.

Just a side note. What's the attraction to the Mo Club anyway? Kind of a dump actually....Is that why the egriz fights are scheduled there?

Yeah, it is cool playing college football in a high school stadium in front of 3,000 voracious fans! Even better is spending four years in the thriving megalopolis of Cedar Shitty, Utah.
