Yep, that scrawny bunch of kids was their downfall this year otherwise the bobcats were pretty steady and solid.

No doubt, I thought the cats would lose but put up a better fight than this. Aren't most of the talent on SH back next year too?

I'm not surprised. SHS kicked the crap outta them last year after a very close game up until half-time. Just too much speed, and MSU doesn't have the history of coming back after they've been knocked on their ass. I'm saying the final will be like 40ish to 10.

What's the reaction for the fans in Boone with the coaching change? Mutiny? I've meaning to read up on the Yosef's Cabin but haven't had time.

It's been a bit of a mess. Some disagreement between Charlie Cobb and Coach Moore about what was said after last season regarding Coach's future at App-- Coach saying he was ambushed and Charlie essentially saying Coach is in denial. The Chancellor put it to rest with a statement supporting Cobb's position. It's similar to what happened at FSU with Bobby Bowden. There's a faction of fans who feel Jerry has earned the right to go out when he is ready and another faction who feel at the age of 73 and with an FBS move likely soon, it's time to move forward. We are all anxious to hear who the next HC will be.

Thanks Phil! Sad way to see a legend go out. I know App State has been looking at moving up for some time, any idea of what conference? God, what would be best case scenerio, Big East? Sad to see FCS slowly dying with the loss of great programs like you guys.

We are hearing some Sunbelt talk. That's about the crappiest conference in the country but I guess you gotta start somewhere. Don't think Big East would take us. It's all about adding schools in big TV markets and Boone is a tiny little town up in the mountains. Heck, C-USA is adding UNC-Charlotte and they haven't even played their first football game yet. Would love to see App and Montana in C-USA.

What he is saying is, we are getting left behind, we are already stoked about a drop down from Marshal, pretty soon we will be stoked about drop downs from Appy, and even worse than those two FCS rivals, we will be getting drop downs from TxSt and Liberty, and so on! Times are changing and we are gonna be stuck in the mud without O Day around, and Engstrom wanting a D2 budget?? Hopefully we can be a teir 2 team with playoffs win it all comes down, or we will be D2??

So many of the better FCS programs are moving up, you have to wonder if FCS will even exist in ten years. I think we'll see the admin at Montana reconsidering their decision in the not-too-distant future.
