Who's gotta shot at the NFL?

It's pretty obvious that Wagenmann has a real good shot at the NFL. He may not get drafted(which I don't see why he can't be a 6th-7th round pick) but he'll deffenetly sign a deal and make a team. He's just too athletic. I'm wondering how many other Griz might have a shot.

Jordan Johnson finished his career as the 4th most prolific QB in Griz history. Many would say he dosnt have the heighth but the Russel Wilson's and Jonny Manzeils are begining to carve a niche. I think though if he's able to get a shot at the CFL he would stand a better chance of having a successful professional career.

If Jordan Canada has some good pro day numbers then he should get an invite to someone's fall camp. I would bet he should at least make a practice squad and given the right situation, possibly make a roster, but not likly.

Travon Van could have a shot as a scat back type or straight up WR. Again a good showing at their pro day will help alot. I see him getting a fall camp invite but probably won't make the team.

If Sean Haynes could find the right team in the CFL and stay healthy, I think he could do very well.

Kevin Berland, sorry but no.

Mitch Saylor also won't get much of a chance.

The Logan twins are the only O lineman to graduate and though normaly at least one of our line gets a serious look, I don't think theses guys will even get a fall camp invite.

Tonga Takai could get a chance given the right situation. Fortunately for guys that don't get drafted, they usually get free agent deals from teams that have a definite need which will help a guy like Tonga that's not a lock but probably good enough to play.

Trevor Rehm and Joshua Dennard will be using their college degrees.

Matt Hermanson may get a fall camp invite but I also don't see him making a roster unless as a special teams contributer.

Dan Moore was in the Colt's camp for a few weeks before getting cut. Does that give you any kind of perspective? Wags has a shot at being a passing down rushing DE contributor in the NFL. That's probably it. We'll see..,,

True but I'm sure nobody called Moore back after he healed up. My point is that other than Wags, Moore was probably more NFL ready than any of this year's Griz seniors yet he got tossed aside fairly quickly at the next level. My question is does Tevin McDonald from EWU
have a shot?

I bet Van, Takai, and Hermanson all get tryouts at least. I don't know if any of them could make a squad though.

Wags will be drafted unless he has a poor pro day.

With his performance today he may get a combine invite.

I was wondering the same thing. While I don't have any inside info, I think Wags will be drafted in a decent round (and not in a bottom round). The combine invites have been out for some time, but there are usually some later invites.

Moore may have been more NFL ready than any of the other guys this year, but I wouldn't have classified him as NFL ready or of having a good shot to stick. He seemed like a longshot.

In several other posts, I have put WAGS being drafted in the last of the 4th round...His pro-day will really determine this I believe.

My off the cloud guess is Wags is a 5th or 6th rounder.
You can bet Seattle, da Bears, Rams and others are very well aware of him.

I for one hope Jordan Johnson hangs up his cletes and goes into teaching and coaching. The number of concussions he's had should scare anyone away from a career in football.

I think Tonga Takai will certainly land on an NFL roster next year. Wags and Canada might do it as well.

I'm with you, but a variation. Barring the unexpected, Wags for certain - and I think Canada and Takai have a shot at unsigned free agent.

I think Wags stands the best chance to get drafted but it's no slam dunk. 6th/7th round. Needs to keep impressing. Remember Brock Coyle made the same kind of impressions and didn't get drafted... however it's worked out for him so there's that too.

TraVon Van I just don't know. He'll kill it on his pro day I assume but I'll be interested to see where he's projected to play, WR or RB, and then what the comments would be on his injuries and some poorly timed drops while playing WR. He'll make a roster for summer camp, that I'd bet. Drafted? Don't think so, but you never know.

Tonga Takai as a free agent, yeah - he's got the size and the track record as a durable run-stopper. He could be a dark horse guy to maybe make a roster.

Jordan Canada I keep on being told that when scouts show up to watch Wags and Van they keep asking about Canada. I think his size might be his undoing, maybe CFL? Not sure...

Hermanson could be a long-shot guy too, maybe a camp invite.

I think Sean Haynes, Jordan Johnson, and Josh Dennard might have a good showing at pro day... but just don't know if they'd get any attention. You never know though.
