Dont Kick 2 Bergen

Knowing what you know now with all the stats, on and off field, academics etc. What WR/Returner would you recruit/pick to build a team around?

Build a team:
QB - obvious reason
TACKLE - protect QB
EDGE - attack opposing QB
CORNER - shut off QB options
RECEIVER - build QB options
Best available after that...but, smart to build inside - out. Personally, I'd go CENTER, GUARD, DL, LB...

Junior Bergen hands down as a returner. I like Michael Wortham as a WR due to his explosiveness and YAC due to his route running and efforts in open space.

I, personally, wouldn't build a team around a WR/Returner. I would build around a QB or a system & position groupings such as OL/DL.
You obviously never played the game like I have. I remarked yesterday that good to great OL and DL are the key to having an elite team and of course the 90 year old authority on all things football disagreed so that makes you wrong as well. Not my rules, its hoops he knows the game now better than anyone just ask him

I think it's a no brainer to use Wortham knowing his skillset. If it was more returning heavy, then certainly Bergan. He's the greatest returner we've had. But Wortham is so talented when it comes to being an all-around weapon.

Bergen darn near willed your 2023 team to the national championship. Obviously the defense was great that year, but Bergen put the team on his back imo.

My team my rules. Any leader should surround themselves with knowledgeable advisors of the sport.

Junior just has this innate ability at returns where he can see the holes before they develop. Wortham is a more complete wide receiver though. As previously stated many times though building your team around a wr/kick returner won’t work at this level. Cooper Kupp is probably the best wide receiver to come out of the FCS in recent memory and his teams always choked in the playoffs.

No, you said something different. You didn't say this. Can you not even remember or look up what you said, or are you lying?

"good to great OL and DL are the key to having an elite team"

You said: "If you don't have a good to great OL none of your skill players matter.

OL and DL are the most important parts of a football team."
