Who will be Stits replacement?

Semore's "risk it all and make a play" defense works (won't say it's great) for Stitt and tonight's game shows how it can work well. Although I'll admit... so far it's not got a good track record.
30 first downs and another 532 yards and nearly 36 min of TOP for ISU. The D can't get itself off the field.
532 brings our BSC average allowed down to 564.3; there's that. Not clear to me what's working well on D.

Who won today?

Some of you are still living in the 90's. The game is simply not played that way. Almost every team in the BS conference is a Arena football team. It's not about shutting a team down, but getting enough stops to outscore them.

All gave up more than 500 yards. It's a new world, time for you slappies to adjust.

Bobby Hauck is the logical choice! Second win-ingest coach in Griz history! Never didn't win the BSC Won seven out of seven years.#Went to the playoffs Playoffs seven out of seven years . Went to the semis four times out of seven years , winning three and went to the national championship three out of seven years at Montana. This should have been done several years ago instead of hiring Stitt in the first place! I'm praying Seth Bodnar, our new president, will hire Hauck back asap! Go Griz!

Have any of the anti Stitt and/or Hauck backers ever think, maybe Hauck actually was smart enough to see some of the BSC teams actually catching up to the GRIZ, within a few years? He likely felt his stock was likely to go down some, being retaining the level the GRIZ were at would be very difficult to retain.

Point being, top to bottom, the Big Sky was not as competitive while Hauck was coach. The conference has become much deeper and better the last few years. Funny, during his run here, GRIZ fans were calling for better competition and for other programs to step it up. Fast forward to the last few years, some GRIZ fans are wishing we could go back to the way things were.

News flash for you........Hauck would not dominate the conference like he once did. As for Hauck, if circumstances were such that he could return, I would support it. However, I don't support hoping and wishing for our current coach to fail. I honestly feel, the GRIZ will turnout to be more than fine with Stitt. We have to realize most his players are underclassmen. I like their chances under Stitt, when his recruits are upper classmen. :thumb:

It's been amusing watching the transition of the argument on this thread. It started with ToadtheMax saying Stitt should be fired, and continued through the first half when we were behind. Then we won.
Now the argument seems to be that we're not dominating enough. The reason we were dominant is that there were so many loser teams in the conference. Somehow, after all of our exhortations that they play better football, they have. Whodathunk?
Dominating is probably only going to come into play if there is a tie for the conference championship. I think it might be fourth or fifth on the list, but points for and points against may have some applicability.
In the meantime, I am enjoying the Wild West Circus that is our current offense. Don't know about you, but I start to get bored when we have a large lead and slow things down. I like the pedal to the metal until the final whistle.

Well that's true to an extent. I don't think NDSU would agree with that though. Example against EWU this year.

None of those teams are a serious National Championship contender.
