Who still thinks Hauck will get the job?

Get the feeling Haslam just really doesn’t like Hauck. And I can understand that. Guys couldn’t be more different.

Is this a 'magic underwear' thing? I was hoping we could leave undergarments out of the discussion. After all, what does it have to do with football?

Bobby lifestyle and the Temple are about polar opposites. Don't think it is "football" that had been what Haslam has been against. Stitt although not LDS was far closer in what Haslam sees as the right man. Even if Bobby is far more like 98% of non LDS high school coaches he works so closely with recruiting. Attend the MCA clinic and you will see what I mean....

I'm sure others have mentioned it elsewhere, but I'm wondering if our incoming President, Seth Bodnar, has been given an opportunity to weigh in on the search and decision and has expressed disapproval (or hesitation, at the very least) at the idea of hiring Bobby Hauck. Regardless of his potential to bring success to the football program, hiring a good ol' boy like Bobby, with the perceived baggage he brings, seems counterintuitive at a time when the University is trying to escape its demons, rebrand itself, improve its appeal, and win back defectors and detractors.

Additionally, with the deeply entrenched territorialism at the University, the task of building a collaborative campus-wide culture will already be a difficult task for Bodnar. Perhaps he realizes that having a guy like Bobby, who has a reputation for doing things however the hell he wants to do them, would be counterproductive to the bigger picture. I think hiring Hauck would send a mixed message from the University, at the very least. You can't say "things are going to be different" out one side of your mouth while announcing "things are going to be just like they used to be" out the other.

In short: Yes, this is an important decision, but there's more at stake here than football.

Exactly. However, I have come to a place (mentally, emotionally, spiritually) where I am alright with whoever is hired. That being said....The downside to Hauck has far greater consequences than just losing games....Only time will tell I guess.

While I believe the premises of this protest and petition are untenable, there appears to be a growing sense that in regards to hiring Bobby Hauck, Haslem is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. At this point it's up to him to choose his executioners.

If our AD Mr. Kent Haslam has done due diligence Bobby Hauck will get the job this week!!! No question the man passes the acid test hands down!!! Welcome home coach Houck!!!

I strongly, suggest AD Haslam seek president Seth Bodnar's council on this and they will no doubt have Bobby signed by the end of the week! Welcome back coach Hauck!!!

If we are to hold the football coach responsible for anything a football player does should we not then hold the professors and administrators responsible for the actions of any student who is not a a football player? Or do these professionals have less influence on the culture of the University?

Seems that hit piece in the Missoulian is doing exactly what they wanted it to do...blow up into a controversy similar to the Tennessee crap. Great.

Somehow it's now turned into a gender issue where if you want Hauck back as coach then you are sexist and obviously support sexual assault.

Good point, and also in this case they're holding Hauck responsible for stuff that was done years after he was no longer the coach here, and holding him responsible for "crimes" in which the accused was found not guilty.

Wow...just wow.

You’d think a University of Montana communications graduate student would have more important things to do. Wait.....never mind

Well it was the same approach used against anybody not voting for the Hildabeast. You don’t support her? You’re a sexist, racist, nazi pig. Pretty much the same playbook against BH right now by the alt-left of the female persuasion.

Jon Krackwhore is a whore, he is a whore who sells fictinal trash for monetary gain and people all over the world care about Missoula Montana!!! He is still trying to get Jordan Johnson's private records to write some more trash to sell. Unfortunately fictional bullsh*t is what sells and that's all Krackwhore cares about is the money he doesn't care about the person or persons he deliberately drags through the sewer of his twisted lies he writes for money and greed with no moral limits!!! PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SCUM- BAG IN ANY WAY!!! "Welcome home Bobby Hauck!!!

He is not involved as Sheila Stearns is still the president until Bodar starts. That has been about the only thing Haslam has been transparent about.
