WHO STARTS IN PLACE OF GAMBOA?

Guess is Lebsock. Gonna miss Gamboa's speed though.

I dont think that will be an issue. NDSU will run the ball straight at you. As others have said Gamboa will be much more valuable to have the next two weeks after our season opener. Lebsock will do just fine..

Agree with everyone that not having Gamboa would be a bigger loss for teams that air it out almost exclusively, but speed (and extra depth) are never a bad thing. I'm excited to see what the Montana boys will do to fill in.

Lebsock and more nickel packages. The size, speed, and athleticism of Yamen Sanders will give the GRIZ defense a lot of versatility to play more nickel and dime packages this season. I have a feeling GRIZ fans will be loving the addition of Yamen.

Read my mind. I'd love to see Yamen play similar to how Deon Buchannon was used by the AZ Cardinals last year.

I am excited to see him match up with Kupp this season. I'd like to see him match up on big athletic WR's all season.

A healthy Lebsock is damn good football player.

True. And Lebsock is also fast, just not CA track champion fast. I suppose this will impact the nickel and dime packages, but it may give some up and comers a nice chance to show their stuff. Plus, there's 3.5 weeks to prepare. I'm sure Gamboa is bummed, but he'll learn from this and be back with a vengeance, I assume. I'm more concerned about stopping the NDSU run, in any event.
