Griz football is the only team sport without an official instagram page, FYI. Don't know why. But the kids are on instagram, twitter, and snapchat-not facebook. Facebook is more people over 30. Need to step up instagram to get to a younger audience.

wow that is beyond sad. I know we joke about it in here, but to see it in black and white...er...orange and white, is just reprehensible to me.

I mean there are positives and negatives.

We are 7th, unranked, and 1st in the three metrics. I'm really surprised the Instagram one is so low.

MSU is 17th, 9th, and unranked in the three metrics.

So, average is better than MSU, who is being praised heavily here.

You know what...my apologies, I missed the twitter one. Thought only Facebook ranked. I do feel a little better.

Wow, thats great data and very telling. Facebook were highest, which is a dying trend for young people. All the kids use twitter and instagram anymore. Its all about the GRAM. You would think a dept built specifically for this would realize these trends.

That data is all accurate, but it is referencing “interactions”, so I’m assuming that includes likes on Facebook, all that hash tagging crap, mentions on twitter, etc that is quantifiable data. Which makes sense, the Griz have one of, if not the largest fan base in FCS football. That stuff will be high.

What I think people are getting at with the praise to MSU on some of this stuff is just the quality of work the media department is putting out for these recruits and announcements, they’re saying it’s very professional and is in line with what the power 5 programs are doing. That is where UM is lacking. This kind of stuff isn’t necessarily going to show up as interactions that can be quantified.

I spoke to Brynn Molloy, she said that they are looking into the possibility of a Football Specific page similar to what the Cats have. She pointed out the UMGrizzlies is the handle they use for all sports, that has 21k followers compared to BobcatFootball which has almost 8k.

She also said that they put out signing day graphics on the UMGrizzlies site, which they did have them on and off I do recall, but it just didnt seem as organized I guess, and I dont recall seeing it on NSD.

This is pretty much it...the presentation just seemed much more organized and dynamic than what UMGrizzlies did.
