From a name/marketing creativity perspective "gold rush" is far better than "maroon out". I get what they were going for but it completely lacks creativity or fun. It's like the oldest white guy in the room said "maroon out" and everyone else was afraid to offer a different suggestion. At least use something like "Maroon Monsoon" or something. What does it mean? I don't know, but it's better than "maroon out".
Also; why aren't these first games at night? The University spent something close to $1m for these lights back when the TV contract with Root came in. Those lights I believe were cited as the main reason the silvertips are no longer jumping into the stadium regularly. But yet we don't use them for these early games when the temps are going to be in the 90s during the day? Lets be honest these first couple of games tend to be a bit boring. Having them at night would make them not only more comfortable to attend but also more special. Students back on campus, nice weather in the evenings, night games... this would be a rocking time. Still gotta do something about that name though.
