Thanks for the information Mslacat and Evizzerate. I appreciate it. By the way do you know if the Lady Griz had any recruits in?
The Lady Griz are interesting, they have 3 scholarships, but have two of them already committed. Word on the street is that the Lady Griz are holding their last scholarship for Tinkle. Right now it appears that UM and Gonzaga seem to be the leaders.

Younger or College Junior to be Tinkle? (I thought there was a young one coming up...............)

Younger, Elle

Thanks,

Still hoping though!!!

I thought 3 Lady Griz committed. The girl from Fairfield I think it is, a girl from Sentinel and a girl from Bozeman. I just don't remember their names.

Mollie Klinker (Fairfield), DJ Rheinhart (Sentinel), and _________ (Bozeman)

You are right on the Fairfield and Sentinel girl. The Bozeman girl is Shanae Gilham.

Scout.com had a recruiting update on Griz recruit 6-8 Mitch Brewe from Seattle Prep. In the interview he stated it is between UM and UC Santa Barbara. He ended saying of UCSB "I'm leaning very heavily there. I will likely commit there very soon."

The guy who he tripped with point guard Dalante Dunklin of San Diego committed to UCSB just a few hours ago.

I believe , but not 100%, that 6-10 Lucas O’Brien (AZ) will be in this week end.

Sounds like it coulds have been Lucas O'Brien at 6-10 220lbs, but "tall and slender" does not narrow it down a lot. Here is a picture.

On another note Tanner Samson, who visited the Griz about two weeks ago, was quoted in ColoradoPrepReport.com interview that he has taken official visits to Montana, Elon, and an unofficial visit to Denver. he has one more trip to take next week end to Peperdine before making his choice. He indicated he has no favorite at this point.

The big guy interested in the GRIZ is from the same school as Art Steward, Andrew or something Andrew. Apparently, he played a year of prep or military school. Some very good potential, and from what I hear, Freddie Owens is very high on the kid. Maybe someone can add more information about this kid.

Here's a 5-minute "best of" video clip of young Mr. Martin's senior year:

Thanks for the additional information, and highlights. Looks like he is a cross between Selvig and Qvale. Blocks shots a lot better than Selvig. Has better touch than Qvale did at the same stage. He runs the courts well, and moves well for 7' footer.

Like Selvig, he will have to put on a lot of muscle, without sacrificing versatility, and agility. He needs a lot of work posting up. 7 footers are hard to come by. I am hopeful the GRIZ land him. He certainly has the tools to become a very solid big.

All I saw were dunks and lay-ins. where is his ability to create a shot, or to score from more than 3 feel away from the rim?

Growler, I rarely ever post, and I usually only do it when someone as fucking stupid as you out-does yourself. First of all, if you watch the video, there's one or two shots he makes at around 6 or 8 feet showing nice touch. Second, oh youre shocked at a recently turned 18 year old 7 footer mostly dunks and shoots layups in a highschool basketball game? Third, 7 foot highschoolers dont "create" shots! Guards do! 7 footers convert them you retard! The only 7 footer that I can even think of that creates shots is dirk nowitzki. If this kid could create shots at 18 yrs old and 7 ft. tall, shoot outside the key and had much of an offensive game outside dunks and lay ups, hed be signed with kentucky for his freshman year waiting for the nba draft the next year. Furthermore, freddie owens seems to think he has some ability, and maybe we could take a poll here at egriz...freddie owens vs. growler1 spotting basketball recruits...

Why? Valid points of view are deemed appreciable at most times; sort out the shut downs' elsewhere.
