Yes, I understand that. So either the Griz one coach short right now since they don't already have an OC (as most teams do) or they hired a different coach instead. Just wondering who that would be.

http://gogriz.com/roster.aspx?path=football#coaches_anchor

Never mind. I guess I'm just not asking my question clearly enough.

Figured the list of coaches would answer the question. Guess not.

There are two receivers coaches & two DB coaches. Redundant @ Stitt's discretion while Niekamp has the linebackers & special teams, equipment, ticket sales, advertising, marketing, concessions, parking, & football faculty liaison to Engstrom - that's it, that's the list. I think he needs a FT special teams coach, and he can farm out the rest to the other coaches.

So in looking at that list, if there was an OC listed there, who do you think would not be? Defensive Analyst maybe? Director of Football Operations?
Most teams have a WR coach. You guys have an inside wr coach and outside wr coach. I remember this now from when the staff was announced. It stuck out to me.

Two different techniques are being taught. One is run around and not get separation at all cost. ....the other is take a step behind line of scrimmage and when the pass it to you over and over wiggle around, get tackled and set up 3rd and long.

That's it in a nutshell. Never ever approach the middle of the field 20 yards downfield.

Never happen; STs is a distraction as far as Stitt is concerned.

Or even 5 to 10 yards downfield and don't you dare think of running a slant route!

I hate to ask this, but is Stitt LDS? If so, Haslem needs to go.

I asked that question a few days back. Engstrom is Haslam is and if Stitt is then keep your eyes and ears open. I lived in a primarily LDS subdivision and my kids were in a LDS controlled public school.
It was an interesting if not trying experience being non LDS in that situation.

Engstrom is NOT. Not that it makes any difference. My experience has been Mormons play football as well as anyone.

You might want to read this exercise in Bigotry as you pile on:

Have always wondered. Thanks for the info :)

Definitely not asking this question because I'm a bigot. For those of you that think this was an idiotic question, what if Stitt was LDS & Haslem hired him for that reason AND hired him instead of a more qualified coach that wasn't LDS? Then we would have a problem. Haslem would have to go.

Also, 2016 was a suck#ss year for the Griz, so I don't think going 6-5 shows Stitt had a good year, thus he's very replaceable in my mind. May not be soon, but he's on the hotseat right now.

Don't worry about it. Appearing highly offended, when in reality you aren't is in style right now. #ImWithHer

OK - again - it is not important. Plus, I have been told Stitt is not LDS. Plus I have heard that Haslam thoroughly interviewed his top candidates to talk about football, and the UM Athletic dept. What people have been trying to tell you is that of the dozens and dozens of topics discussed by Haslam and Stitt in 2015 and 2016, religion was not very high on the list of topics.
