You maybe right just wait till next year and fire them all at once after stitt 's contract runs out.

Strong rumors that there is extension talks for Stitt.
Now is the time to lock him in for a few more years :thumb:

It appears that is exactly what School of Mines did for fifteen years.

Well, lets hope that your AD follows their lead

Those are numbers you can't take for granted.

Also numbers that don't mean much if looking to buy out a head coach.

Do the math. 1 home game = ?

But that money is earmarked for elsewhere. If UM athletics had free flowing money due to ticket sales, things would be much different. To buy out a coach, something else would be effected in the football program.

Step away from the ledge and put down that f'ing pipe. Take your tinfoil hat off and stop sniffing glue. Holy hell people. This was a tough year, but the Griz have had four coaches in the last ten years. Delaney and SG recruited the pitiful oline that Germer inherited. He is no magician. There was no DOLA and never would be with the current O line. The Griz are still two years out. Maybe three. They need a mobile QB, their freshman OL time to mature and one more running back to compliment Calhoun. The world is not coming to an end. This season is just the result of Rolls Royce and piss poor leadership. It took some time for this mess to manifest fully. Hopefully Stitt can turn this turd into a gold nugget. If anyone should be fired it is Engstrom. The BOR is simply wasting tax payer money and he Is a pathetic excuse for a leader. Pathetic. Someone should see if we can get a few wreckers for the next BOR meeting. Heads need pulling out of .,...,,,,,,,,

Behapp....why Stitt as ST coach??
He's a smart guy
Seems to be something that he should be able to handle and it's important.
He can still be in charge of HC duties during the game.

also - IDK, it sounded good when I wrote it :)
The problem is Stitt admittedly does not prioritize STs.

1. Hire an OC
2. Remove Niekamp from ST duty
3. Put Stitt in charge of ST

Keep them all with their current contracts and reconsider the situation at this time next year.

You have to fire someone to hire an outside OC.

Why's that? What coach is on staff that would not have been if there was already an OC in place?

There is a limit to number of coaches.

Yes, I understand that. So either the Griz one coach short right now since they don't already have an OC (as most teams do) or they hired a different coach instead. Just wondering who that would be.

If They give him a extension than I'm tapping out. Way to many other things to do with my time then follow a program that is managed by people who clearly don't care about winning.
If they have another season like this one and give stitt an extension....... anything less than a destructive non-peaceful protest is unacceptable

They are talking extension currently. Unless the Brawl changed things dramatically, it should happen soon.

Figured the list of coaches would answer the question. Guess not.

So in looking at that list, if there was an OC listed there, who do you think would not be? Defensive Analyst maybe? Director of Football Operations?

$ is $. Griz win = $.

Griz continue to trend downwards? I would be careful.

My point is, currently the University is in no position to buyout a head coach contract. Even with the amount of money generated by ticket sales, they are still making large cuts across the board, including the report this week that more academic staff must be cut.

Are they in any position to lose a million plus in ticket sales? Not to mention donations, merchandise, etc? I'd be cautious. Don't take Griz nation for granted.

You are assuming that the BOR and administration use common sense in their decisions. It would seem that none of them have the foresight to think what might happen in the future. They are too busy trying to stop the bleeding right now to worry about 2 years down the road.

Most teams have a WR coach. You guys have an inside wr coach and outside wr coach. I remember this now from when the staff was announced. It stuck out to me.
