Cats fans know Stony is legit, but deep in their hearts they know the Cats should win by two TD's. Stony's two best weapons play right into MSU's hands. Heavy run game against MSU's great front seven. I say Cats break open a close halftime score and win by 17.

wbtfg...no need to worry. DM will throw for four TD's against Stony. I'm a little concerned about the Cats ability to run the ball deeper into the playoffs, but not against Stony, I think DM's arm will be enough.

I watched the Stony Brook-Villanova game on the computer saturday and believe me the cats will have their hands full. This game will be wayyy tougher than most cat fans expect.

Why do I have to "believe" you. I watched the whole thing too, and while SB looked impressive, what was more shocking was how poorly Nova played.

You put that team in Bozeman and "believe me", it would have been way worse than 20-10.

After App St loses to Illinois State, who do you want to win it?

Have you all forgot just how average App St is this year. If there were odds on winning it all, App St would probably be 40 to 1.

However, while this year's Eagles are a good team with talent, they are not exactly world beaters. In the only two Eastern games I saw (UM & MSU), they were fortunate to come away with wins vs both the Griz and Bobcats. As a result I have a hunch they'll stumble before getting to the big game.

In the 2010 playoff run the "Good Bo" showed up when you needed him.
Good luck, but I have my doubts how you'll fare in a game where the ball doesn't bounce your way.

Sure you can discuss what you want, the point, and it was a good one is that every fan base complains about an experience they had with their rival's (mine was particularly unpleasant when a drunk tailgater threw dog crap at us). I don't hold that against your entire fan base and every time I hear Griz fans talk about how awful the Cheney experience is I can't help but think about all the times we've offered food and drink to passing UM fans in the parking lot. There's good and bad, both sides, and I'm sure if you talked to App State (your self proclaimed sister team) or NDSU and their rival fans you'd find a similar situation. If you go on the WSU or UW forums they are pissing and moaning about a post Apple Cup game incident when a fan who was part of the crowd that stormed the field blindsided an opposing player and bringing up incidents of bad conduct from 35 years ago.

It's a pointless discussion because every team has fans and trolls that don't represent we'll and every team has loyal fans that support their team with their passion, presence and money.

I won't speak for anyone else but I can't pull for Montana State or EWU because they are the Grizzlies two rivals. They are also the two teams that have won more games against the Griz in the last 20 years than any other team. Thus I can't stand either team. So feel good that we can't stand your team. In fact the more we hate EWU and MSU the better those two programs are probably performing on the field.

You Eagle fans sure seem sensitive about criticisms of your fan base. I say if you don't like the discussion or think it is pointless than why the hell are you responding to it? Do you think you are going to change anyone's mind?

In any regard this thread is just to find out who everyone is pulling for, the reasons why they are pulling for a particular team is besides the point.

Lot of Big Sky hate in this thread, but a pretty spot on post. I guess we should take the Griz hate as a compliment, a big reason you hate us is because we have been successful against the Griz and in the Big Sky. Personally, I've always rooted for the Big Sky in the playoffs, but I guess it is difficult to do against your rival, and yes the Griz are a much bigger rival to us, than we are to you, I understand.

If it matters, I would have much rather seen the Griz win the chipper in '08 and '09 rather than Richmond and Villanova...

I will root for EWU if they come up against any CAA team. It was great to see Villanova lose to EWU in 2010, it felt like a little payback for 2009. Good luck this week. Hoping that EWU and APP St both take care of business because that is a game I'd like to see.

I didn't get into that debate much. But I leaned on the side of stay put in FCS.
