Who Can Take Them To the Woodshed ?

And beat NDSU ass in playoffs. Who is the sleeper? Leave out ND,Cats,Griz ? I have not watched other teams in the FCS play. Is there anyone ?

Baring injuries, not likely.

I’d say UND is the sleeper team in the FCS, but I only think that is possible in the championship game. Assuming they beat NDSU, and both teams then win out, they won’t seed a 2 loss UND team above a 1 loss NDSU team. At that point, I don’t think they can beat a motivated NDSU team in Fargo.
 
Tarleton has a sweet offense, but outside of the obvious challengers there doesn’t appear to be a real threat to NDSU this season. Even the Montanas and Dakotas are probably a stretch. NDSU looks so good in the trenches. They can just move people, and dominate the LOS. On defense they’ve got dudes that cover well in their secondary and a scheme that’s all about suffocation. Not a lot of flashy stuff going on either offensively or defensively. They’re just good man. I fucking hate it, but it really looks like it’s NDSUs to lose barring a miraculous run where a team like ours or the bobcats (god forbid) or UND gets hot. I’d rather watch NDSU win the next 20 in a row than for MSU to get one though 🤷‍♂️

Tarleton is more dangerous than a lot of Griz Nation is giving them credit for. I have only watched parts of their games, but they sure look like they play fast. And they may be playing some weak competition, but they have put up some huge numbers in those wins and some strong margins of victory. I have no idea how they will do in the playoffs, but they aren't a gimmie game by any stretch.
 
Take to the woodshed I don't see happening... beating them in a close game... I think Montana might be the team that could do it. I need to watch NDSU play UND to have a better gage. NDSU is really good.
Good teams can make mistakes though and nothing is guaranteed.

Truth be told, noone. If I had to pick and can't use ND, Cats, Griz, SDSU, Tarleton state honestly is my next pick. They have a legit front on both sides of the ball. They play big and they play fast. But NDSU isn't being touched. It's getting really old, really fast.

- 2021 Sam Houston State
- 2023 Furman
