Who are UM's peers?

Do we know Engstrom's position regarding a possible plan to change conferences? We haven't heard much from him concerning the athletic program.
Some of you know Kent Haslam. Has he made comment about this important subject? I suspect his official position will be to agree with Engstrom. Discussion....?

They both have indicated that they are more than willing to move the FBS level if it makes the best sense for the University.

What criteria are the egriz brain trust using to determine which universities are peers? Most likely the next BSC university to go FBS does not reside in Montana.

Well we sure as shit know it's not in Washington.

I think we're going with "Frequency of Opposing Fans Posting on Message Board." UM is actually in a league of its own when it comes to that because FBS teams aren't generally as envious of the top teams in their conference as the lesser BSC programs/schools are of UM.

Thanks for stopping by eGriz.com!

No criteria. I guess that is the level of sophistication I expect from egriz.

Unable to recognize a criterion when presented with one. I suppose that is the level of sophistication of an EWU fan.

You are incorrect again. I chose not to recognize the criterion you presented.

Inability to distinguish between the refusal to recognize a criterion when presented with it and the nonexistence of said criterion. I suppose that is the level of sophistication of an EWU fan.

Good grief. The group home must have given an extraordinarily large number of weekend passes on Friday.

I mean, I know the doctors say it's good to allow some of these people socialization in the outside world, but this is getting ridiculous.

Everett....if it makes sense from a financial position, why wouldn't we lobby the Mountain West executives to accept Montana when they have a change of membership? Fifty years in the Big Sky Conference is more than long enough for the Griz. We are a far different football program than we were in the Skyline Conference prior to the Big Sky. Today, there isn't a doubt that we would be competitive from the starting gate.

Cheney Community College is fortunate to be in the Big Sky. I doubt they would be asked to join any FBS conference

I remain hopeful for a Mountain West invite if we go after it and make a presentation to them.

NDSU & Montana HAVE TO go after it, that's the problem, neither Administration has the balls to go after them and solicit them and sell themselves to the mountain west. I dont know if it's arrogance or midwest shyness, but dammit get on a plane together, put together a kick ass presentation as partners and walk into the MWC and kick some ass!!

Walk into ESPN, CBS sports, and ROOT and make your case. That is where the TV money for the MWC is and you would have to increase the pie size enough to offset smaller pieces to each current member. There is the hurdle
