Who’s going to WIU?

Once again it’s time to honor my vow that I will travel to any Griz game w/in a 1,000 miles from me. Going to Western Illinois this year and I was wondering if anyone else is going and if anyone knows of any Grizzly planned events in Macomb that weekend. One reason I ask is there doesn’t seem like much to do in Macomb. We’re making the 570 mile drive on Fri. We’re then watching the game on Sat which should be at 3pm, then driving 245 miles to Chi. Never been there before so we’ll site see Sat night and most of Sun then it’s 290 miles to Sandusky Oh to visit some friends we haven’t seen in almost 20 years. Leaving there Tues for the 620 mile drive home. 1,700+ miles in five days. Griz better win!!

AG - you may want to consider Peoria instead. Not sure what roadways you’re taking on the way up, Peoria is on 74 about 90 minutes from Macomb & will have more creature comforts & hotel choices.

Will be gathering up my daughters and heading down. My wife & her yoga instructor haven’t RSVP’d yet. Haven’t heard back from the area Costco, always Costco, as to whether or not they’re allowing me to host my tailgate there.

We'll be pulling the 5'er down from Northern IL for the game then taking a week long loop south and east through the smokey mountains. If there's a tailgate we'll try to get there as well!
