White out game

One of the recurring themes on e-Griz is that the game day experience has become old or stale or boring. It's interesting that when the Athletic Department introduces something just a bit different there is a chorus of negative feedback on e-Griz.

Why white? It's not even a team color.
Technically it's not a color period. White is the complete absence of all color. I don't like it. Probably did it so the U didn't have to pay for dyed shirts to sell to the fans. Plain white T's. nice and cheap.

Actually black is the absence of all color and white I believe is the presence of all color. Either way it's kind of a dumb idea, though.

that is for light, when talking pigment white absorbs no coloreds and black absorbs all coloreds, at least in the visible spectrum

Seems like the white out idea is purely a marketing ploy. They picked the color that none of you own...so you'd buy one. Buy one and wear it to the Wyoming game ...it will be more obvious among the brown than maroon would.

You've seen the "white outs" or whatever color at other football games right? Oregon and Boise print what color you should wear on their schedules. Or in Boise's case they do it by seat section. Everyone uses it as a marketing ploy.

did anybody think about what color South Dakota will be wearing? Yeah, visitors wear white. They'll think the stadium is filled with their fans.

this could have been thought about.

OMG!!! Delaney is into marketing! We are doomed!

I make it a point never to participate in that kind of stuff. (Especially "the wave.") I'll wear green or brown or whatever, just like usual.

Then what's clear? And who's on first?

hear me out on this because I realize it's a little nuts...

do you think there is a chance um contacted south Dakota about this matter? maybe explained to them this promotion and suggested south Dakota NOT wear white on the road this one time? probably not. probably decided this on a whim and will sit back and watch as 22 players in white try to figure out what team they play for.

sorry. no chance this happened. I'm an idiot. :o

Don't forget about the time we came to town and tried to wear our gold uni's... and the bully grizzlies wouldn't let us. (We won anyway...)

I can't believe there are still bobcat fans who aren't so completely ashamed that they refrain from trying to start any kind of discussion regarding the relative merit of both programs.

It's like a homeless person yelling, "you suck" to a dude driving by on the way to his job.

That said, the uniform thing happened because you guys are a bunch of fucking tools and your "gold" uniforms were a pee-stained embarrassment to the State of Montana.

You should bring some white flags to wave as well.

Sorry for missing this one. I was over on the EWU Football board reading all of the posts from Griz fans regarding the fan wardrobe for a game between EWU and a team that isn't the Griz.

C'mon, folks, stop bitching. You complain about UM not marketing stuff, then you bitch when UM does some marketing. Are you never, ever happy? Participate in the white-out or not, that's up to you. But, please, stop complaining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
