I'm reminded of a woman I dated many, many years ago. She was a professional drama queen...one day she had a panic attack and went to the ER because she couldn't decide which outfit to wear to work. In one year, she logged 53 ER visits (yes, I was sick enough to keep track)..none of them for what I would call a legitimate reason...but enough about her; my point is that after we went our separate ways, I came to realize that I really didn't miss her, but I did miss the chaos, the uncertainty...the always wondering if I would get a 3:00 am "emergency" phone call..you get used to craziness and life seems almost too quiet when that insanity is gone. I feel the same way about 2506...I sort of got used to his relentless style and in a sick way, looked forward to reading what he had to say.

Look, 2506 is the most reprehensible poster on the board, for sure. I personally loathe the dude. However, I am totally against banning any poster. This board should allow freedom of speech like the First Amendment guarantees for all Americans. Anyone who does not wish to read this guy's drivel, can just block him. I was banned from this board many times, until they finally figured out that it was wrong to do so. I think Chris now understands the marketing power of controversial posters.

I am against banning any poster.

There are griz posters over on Bobcat Nation that post things that aren't always welcome either but I don't think any have ever been banned. I for one am anxious for 2506 to return. Hopefully he won't get banned again.

I couldn't agree more. Free speech is something to be protected and valued. I spent some internet surfing time today reading about the Russian female punk singers who were sent to prison for 2 years for dancing and singing lyrics that some found offensive in an Orthodox church. That's pretty extreme. There are exceptions to the guarantee of free speech however, such as the old adage that you can't rush into a crowded theater and yell "fire," but I if I happen to disagree with the subject matter that a poster posts, I will certainly defend his or her right to post it. And as others have mentioned, there is always the ignore option.

Cats 2506 has got the talent to push the egriz's buttons right where it hurts.....and I guess that's why a lot of posters on this board hate him. An insult (with a little bit of truth) is all ways the worst transgression that a person faces. Jerking chains is an art.....just ask Alpha....he does it with equal amounts of venom on both football boards!!!.....talk about setting the hook!!!!
I have seen a lot of adjectives to describe the guy (and a few of them may be true) but the ones that say he is dumb just does not apply; if you are going to argue facts, history, and players bad behavior you had better have better ammo than just saying "G-- Dam he's stupid" and come up with your own observations to repudiate his "garbage" as some call it; not just some lame name calling!!!

Honestly, posters like O.P.,WBTF",ILTC have earned respect on this board IMO. These guys can take off the piss yellow glasses when needed. Not only that but when the mess with Pflu and O'Day started these posters weren't trying to rub it in. That alone earned respect in my book and I will buy them a drink @ WaGriz anytime.
