Last year it would seem a mixed bag for the "hot team" coming off a first round win.

Of the teams that played in the first round and then went to a seeded team:

3 won the game at the seeded team (Jacksonville, New Hampshire, Coastal Carolina)
5 lost the game at the seeded team (Furman, Tennesee St, SHSU, Fordham, SDSU)

As for the Griz I would say if they can get through this game with limited difficulty - which isn't guaranteed at all - and rest the starters come the 4th quarter, it could be really good for them. They keep momentum going and hopefully avoid any major injuries. The playoffs are about the "hot team" in some cases - 2011 Montana and 2004 Montana are great examples.

If the Griz make it to Cheney, what's your prediction?

Have yet to see a convincing game from the "road Griz" so I'd lean towards an EWU win.

If JJ isn't hobbled and Takai's shoulder isn't bad I'll say Montana has a good chance in Cheney. Granted we have to play without error but so will they. Would be a dog fight for sure.

I am not overlooking USD but the Griz cannot get "blitzkrieged" early against Eastern. IMO, that's the key. Depending on a near miracle come back is not a winning game plan.....
