Which scenario is better for the Griz

"Which scenario is better for the Griz"?

If you really want to know what the best scenario is LONG TERM for the Griz, it will be for them to lose the rest of their games, so the Kool-Aid drinkers will choke on their grape juice, and join the rest of us who understand that we are going nowhere until a purge of the coaching staff happens.

As a long-time season ticket holder, it is painful for me to say this, but there are way too many apologists and blind faith followers who will never come around until the reality hits them squarely in the noggin. We are going nowhere this season, even if we make the playoffs it will be a quick one-and-out, so I am willing to sacrifice this season for a new direction towards returning to a dominant program.

You were probably one of those dipshits calling for Don Read's head when he went 6-4 and 6-5 in his first two seasons, and then were screaming 'I told you so" when he went 7-4, 7-4 and 6-5 in seasons 5, 6 and 7 of his reign here.

Best scenario for the Griz is to win out last 4, get a first round bye, win a few playoff games before winning the Nat'l Championship. Duh!
Worst scenario is to lose last 4 regular season games & have no changes for next year. Duh!

We got f*^ked when Phlu & O'Day got f*^ked. If Phlu was still the head coach, we would've won the NC last year. JJ wouldn't have been railroaded to sit out a year & would have thrown 5 TD passes in the NC game against NDSU.

Phlu would have a top QB running the spread this year as a true freshman & we'd be undefeated with no scholarship losses & no f*^king NCAA sanctions. Recruiting would be on the same level as NDSU.

So you are saying it is best for the Cats to beat Cal Poly, giving them 2 loses. If not, and Cal Poly wins out, the Griz would not get a bye, in fact they would play a first round game. Both would have 1 loss in conference, and Cal Poly would own the head to head.

It would have been easier to answer the question, instead of trying to be smart.

This is why the question is hard

If the Griz win out, the Cal Poly game is irrelevant. Montana will not play a first round game, as they would have wins over Eastern Washington, and MSU. If the Cats beat CP that would only help the Grizzlies if they beat the Cats in the National Rankings and seedings by the committee. 8 teams get first round byes, not 4. If you are going to try and be smart perhaps use a little common sense first.

Yeah...but at least we're getting Willy Phlug.

Rooting for the team to lose so that fans can share your opinion about the coaching staff? You need to grow up...

Always find it funny how some people on here expect and then get offended when people don't share the same perspective as they do on the football program. Some take it a step further and act as they are entitled to the program being exactly how they want it. Others, just can't help but be negative about everything.

There may be kool-aid drinkers, but hate to break it you, many know just as much or maybe more than you know about football and the Griz Monte.

Rob, you are trolling again but the question has some minor relevance. For now the cats are undefeated, and a handful of teams, including the Grizzlies and Cal Poly, have one loss. So it is best if the bobcats give Poly their second loss putting them behind the Griz in the conference standings.

Montana regains control over their destiny once they're ahead of Cal Poly. If the Grizzlies finish with the single loss, in the process they also give the cats a loss and EWU it's second loss. Montana would then be co-conference champion at the least. They potentially could be outright champs depending upon how Idaho State and No Arizona finish out their seasons. If the Grizzlies pick up a second loss this weekend their hopes of winning the conference diminishes down to about zero. The kids know this and I expect they'll be giving their best efforts in these remaining four games.

Yep. That about says it all. CP wins and we win out (big task, I know), destiny controlled.

Man these last three weeks are going to be a cluster fuck for the top of the big sky...and mostly all of it revolves around the Griz...good spot to be in...Just WIN BABY

I don't think there are any more First Round byes in the FCS Playoffs any more, I may be wrong, though.
