Where's JLM?

Look for the Griz to run some reverse action off JLM. If you watch when he goes in motion, he draws considerable attention.

Kid’s a known commodity & teams are accounting for him with DB’s every play now. Toure’s had some production as well so are JLM’s snaps lower this season over last?

Honest question - has Stitt actually used a reverse in the offense prior? I can’t recall ever seeing one. Might be a good tactic is the right spot.

Can JLM pass? With all the attention paid to him, him passing from a reverse or sweep would likely result in a wide open field on the opposite side to a WR even the QB.

I wish they would do a design quarterback run and then flip it to him on the reverse. I've never seen Stitt run one reverse yet. with a guy like Jerry it would be very effective I would think

Why do you guys think we have been successful stretching the D this year deep. Teams have been keying JLM and eventually someone is going to sleep on him with planning and he will tear it up. Plus he's was a little banged up and hobbled by an ankle. believe it or not Stitt actually has adjusted his game for the D already multiple times this year

Lots of open receivers deep, however haven't been able to execute at a high level. Lots of dropped passes and since Jensen came in lots of under thrown balls on the deep routes or balls that just hung a little too long.

I didn't think there were under thrown balls against Eastern. Was wondering if he had a slight hand injury this last game. On tv it looked like he may have been nursing his hand a bit.

4-5 long balls underthrown. A couple were caught and then tackled where if the ball had been thrown 2 more yards it would have been a TD. The rest were contested and dropped, where if they'd been 2-3 yards longer they'd have been catches.

There was one or two against Eastern that hung just a bit too long casing the receiver to have to slow up and the defender to catch them and disrupt the play

I agree. Now Stitt needs to figure out how to use JLM to truly open up the O to either get JLM the ball or use him as a decoy to allow someone else make the D pay

Seem like they bring him in motion on a good percentage of plays. Maybe actually give him the ball every now and then to force defenses to account for it?

I remember one play against PSU they gave JLM the ball on the Fly Sweep and he was taken down around the LOS.

Teams are taking chances of taking away the short and quick passes to him. He actually struggles somewhat holding onto mid to long passes with coverage near him. He has been guilty of not holding onto a few passes this season, along with a few other WR's. He might best be utilized as a kick returner. With the number of scores our Defense gives up, and the KR game struggling this yeaIr, it would actually make sense to try it. Then again, not sure if he would hold up to the wear and tear, considering how bad the kick return blocking has been.

I agree, the KOR blocking has been HORRENDOUS. A bunch of scared, weak, no effort guys...
