Where to buy a legit jersey?

This thread made me want to change the channel during one of those sad Sarah McLachlan animal commercials.

I'm still right on this one, and will probably have 98% of the board agree with me. You can go to the bookstore, right now, and buy a copper and gold football shirt. It's being sold in the UM bookstore, directly affiliated with the University of Montana, and are still being produced.

Deal with it.

I hope my PM cleared up any confusion you may have. What did they tell you when you called the licensing director?

It didn't. Because you said the bookstore isn't affiliated with UM. That comment made me laugh actually. If they aren't associated with each other, they couldn't sell the textbooks and class materials with the UM stamp on them.

And I don't need to call them.

Willie, tell us the story about your ankle again. Have you considered throwing in the towel and just riding around on a rascal?

Did you have to quit modding due to anke pain? That's too bad, you were doing a bang up job.

I stopped because I'm not here enough. And because of people like you ;)

I know it's all in good fun. But that doesn't mean I don't think you're a peckerhead.

Hey real jerseys have extra material for the shoulder pads and don't fit worth a shit. I have several JD Quinn ones if you want to buy one. PM me, the number is 69. :D

you're on the fast track to getting reported. Keep it up.

Question: When I was growing up, the Griz rocked with the copper and gold. Why can't I find that old logo?

Answer: University of Montana products and Griz apparel logo wear are federally trademarked and protected. Over the years, some old logos have been shelved in favor of new designs produced by UM, as were the "old colors" starting in 1996. Brand recognition - and protection of that brand and proper use of school colors - is critical to promote The University of Montana. These federally-trademarked logos and products are heavily protected by Collegiate Licensing, in cooperation with The University of Montana. Fines and/or penalties can be levied for the unauthorized use or abuse of non-trademarked items that appear to have a close association and/or connection with The University of Montana.

Willie, I'll save you the call to UM's licensing director. This is O'day's answer to a question on his old Ask the AD blog. Maybe all along the old Griz colors were legal and you just found the smoking gun why he was fired?
