Double Tree, Days Inn, Thunderbird, Campus Inn, Bel Aire Motel . . . Reserve Street's hotels are close to an exit- if you're ok with driving. There is a plethora over there. C'mon Inn, Grant Creek, Staybridge, Hilton, Holiday Inn Express.. . . Ruby's. . . the first listed are within walking distance. The Holiday Inn downtown though. . . or the Days Inn. . both right downtown. . . can stumble to both the game and the festivities afterward with ease. . . .

If all you want is a really cheap crash pad very close to the bars and within a 15 minute walk to the stadium, the Days Inn is the choice. But the place is a crap dive. I know, because I stay there more often than I care to admit. Their idea of quality service is charging your credit card twice. But if all you need after a hard night of drinking is a hotel within crawling distance of the bars complete with smelly carpeting and a bed only slightly more comfortable than the bathtub, the place is a five star choice!! :lol:
Don't even consider anyplace besides the DoubleTree or Holiday Inn Parkside. Trust me on this.

Others have offered many good choices for lodging. My only suggestion is go to Travelocity, Expedia, or Hotelsdotcom and look at their maps to get an idea of their proximity to the campus and downtown. The stadium is next to the river on the north end of the campus, and downtown is the epicenter of beverages. Ideally you want a hotel from which you can walk to either (there are at least a dozen options). So find a spot that suits you. Finally, Welcome to Montana (in advance). :ugeek:

In the winter it can get kinda tricky because there are two mountain passes to cross over. My wife and I have flown out of Missoula and out of Spokane, but we can use our own vehicle and have relatives in Spokane where we can park it, so rental cars don't come into the equation for us. Look forward to see App St. and fans in Missoula in August!

As an out of towner who stayed in Missoula a couple of times this summer I wouldn't stay anywhere but Doubletree, and the key is to BID it on priceline. Close to campus is a bonus, just across the river.
