Where is trash can Tommy getting drafted?

Agreed but there is no reason to draft a guy like that when he will be available with a FA contract
This guy is the reason TT has a good chance to be a late draft pick:
Julian Francis Edelman[1](born May 22, 1986) is an American former professional football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons with the New England Patriots. He played college football for the Kent State Golden Flashesas a quarterback and was selected in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL draft by the Patriots, where he transitioned to a return specialist and wide receiver. Edelman became a primary offensive starter in 2013 and was a staple of the Patriots' receiving corps until his retirement after the 2020 season.

His size is going to be the biggest factor. We all know he's a freak athlete, but he's very small, and even if that often times doesn't ultimately matter, it scares NFL teams.

I could see him go in the 6th or 7th round, but it also wouldn't surprise me if he didn't get drafted.

I think he'll make a roster next season no matter what happens, though.

I think he 100% gets drafted. His Pro Day numbers were off the chart from an athlete perspective. He scored a 9.28 RAS score which shows big time speed, explosiveness, and athleticism. I’m guessing 6th round. Will be a special teams guy early in career and then work into slot receiver and some qb run game (Taysom Hill like)

6'0"208 lbs. Is that really too small for a slot receiver or a gunner on special teams? About the same size as Colt Anderson who was 5'10 and around 195 when he played...

Mellott's pro day numbers were way better than Edelman's. Way better. Not even close. See Edelman.

I don't think his size is a big factor. He's got some weight. He bench number was terrific. He's bigger and faster than Edelman. He's bigger than Colt Anderson. He's way bigger than Tim Hauck. He's way faster than all of them.

Right, I don't actually think it matters, but NFL teams view 5'11" 200 lbs as tiny. It's going to impact his draft stock.

I don't agree that NFL teams view that size as tiny. I see that 1 receiver and 2 running backs had more benches that Mellott this year. That receiver was picked in the 3d round today and is 5'11", 194. Same 40 and vertical as Mellott. 3 receivers about Mellott's size were picked in the first 3 rounds. 8 receivers ran their 40's faster than Mellott at the Combine this year. If Mellott can't catch, then never mind.
