Where has Griz Nation spread to?

I was in New York this summer at Niagara Falls and just walking around the park around 11:00 pm with a Griz sweatshirt on two people yelled over to me just to say “Go Griz!”, and then the next day the guy who gave out ponchos at one of the tours saw the sweatshirt and told me he used to live in Missoula and was a Griz fan too. So I guess there’s at least three fans in the Buffalo/Niagara area of New York.

I'll be brutally honest, i run into a lot of folks that have never even heard of our program. I'm not gonna come on here and blast about how everyone in the United States knows the Griz. I'm the one guy in my office that has his office decked in Griz stuff, and everyone is like Montana? I work in Colorado now but same thing when i lived on the east coast. Moving back to Montana in a year, thank god!

My office (in San Antonio) looks like a Griz shrine. Yeah, I get crap from all the UT and A&M grads/fans, but they're slowly being converted....every Monday 4-5 of them stop by and want to know how the Griz did, or to talk about the game...we're taking over the world, one fan at a time. 8-) 8-)

You better take some of them to Frisco with ya when the Griz make it there!

Dude, it'll look like my Flagstaff parties...used to bring 40-45 people every other year up to Flag for the bi-annual Flagstaff Beatdown... :D :D :D

as my user name shows ...
I've been tansplanted to Nebraska -- Offutt AFB, Bellevue, NE. :egriz:

Here at work we have a varity of followings ... Huskers of course, Hawkeyes, Sooners, Penn State... etc.

My next door neighbor, a life long Husker fan has become quite the FCS Follower.
He & I made the 2 1/2 hour trip to Vermillion for the Coyotes game.

We enjoyed that trip a lot ... even tailgated with some Griz fans.

Here in Denver when I wear my Griz gear it's almost a sure thing that I'm going to get at least one "Go Griz" that day.

However; it's also a sure thing that I will get several people thinking it's something to do with this douchebag.

I really wish UM would send him a cease and desist.

Yeah i've literally never met anyone who knows about us, unless they went to an FCS school. I have a buddy who went to Mcneese and he obviously knew us.

Remember it's not "high friends in low places", where the whiskey is good....sorry getting carried away.

There is a couple in Sweden (Falkenberg) who are Griz fans, nephew even came for a while.

+1

I'll be in Tampa, FL in a couple weeks for a wedding. I will be attending the Carolina Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Bucs game and you better believe I will be wearing my griz gear just for Jamaal Jones. I bet I get some looks. :thumb:

Griz stickers on cars throughout Coeur d Alene, definitely outnumber the spuddites (Vandals) and Wazzuians here. Griz clothing on abundant display anywhere you go.

I travel a bit and seem to get a "Go Griz" most places I go. My favorite was a "What up Missoula?" while traveling through Paris, France.
I get the occasional bobcat sighting as well.
My office in LA is a mini shrine too:

The "Stadium Grill and Bar" in north Tucson has a Cat-Griz game gathering that would make most any Montana bar proud. North of Tucson, I see Griz baring vehicles from time to time also.
