I am not now nor have I ever been a strong supporter of the current regime. I thought it was a hasty hire and was concerned about this supposed offensive genius having coached at a D-II school for so many years using the indication that he didn't want to take any of the many previous offers to move up that he had over the years. Like many however I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

There was a perception that he was a highly sought-after coach. He wasn't. He conceded in one interview that, prior to Montana, he had never been offered a position anywhere.

Stitt did claim that he would not leave Mines until "just the right" program came along.

That wasn't true. As early as 2003 he was putting out applications. Just never got hired. He ended up on Purdue's list of considerations recently. I assume he put an application there. He already wants out and up.

In the Montana "hire," there was some misrepresentations made. Whether it was Stitt, or media hype, or just plain misunderstandings, I do not know.

Wow, flatter yourself much? I can tell you "resentment" isn't even close. More like pity mixed with amusement, and a dash of disgust. Everyone reading can see what a tool you are, and I'd bet it's unanimous. You add nothing to this board, other than a string of insults to long-time, respected posters, and anyone who will bite, which I will not do again.

I picture you something like the the Seinfeld character "Newman," diligently banging away, attempting to disguise your self-loathing with garish pomposity.

Haha …when did I redass this earnest, little dink? I can’t even remember. But if it sent him off to hide behind the old ignore list, it must have been very traumatic for him … and we know he’ll be reading every word I write.
