Thank you. It has to be noted how wrong certain commentators were.

I think the OP's question wasn't so much at the time of the hire but how are they feeling now? If that's the case from those I've talked with I've heard good things. The design is more complex, the defensive coaches are very different in their approach and the players like it. There seems to be attention to some details that wasn't given before. "Us vs them" by way of defense vs offense or upperclassmen vs underclassmen isn't supported anymore. Team unity appears to be at a high point, despite how many new faces are on the roster.
This was a press release from the coaches. I could find no support at the time from players. Many had become best friends with those cut in the April Slaughter, and didn't like the way it was done, or the process. Wahlberg made that comment despite the fact that Chase Nacarrato had pointed out the contrary just a few months before when he left the Team. That's been a problem on egriz. Whether "sports reporters" or simply sycophants, they cannot tell any truth if it disrupts their friendly sources. They enjoy the elevated status of being "insiders" too much, and will not, under any circumstances, violate their privilege. As I also noted, Jud Heathcote used to joke about "coach access:" "Now, don't tell anybody."

Having had a go-round with Sample on this topic just a couple of weeks ago, in which he denounced my observation that reporters cannot report honestly as "complete bullshit," you can now ask Kyle Sample, havgriz and Wahlberg, "where were you guys?"

Pretty easy guys. The glory days were over years ago. You're a middle of the pack (66% WP) team.
Feel hate tickle? That's Karma. Your colon is telling you will be dead soon. Enjoy that win the bengals got.

what? Put the crack pipe down.

You add zero to the conversation. As per usual.

Go ahead and attempt to excoriate me now with your amazingly effeminate and flowery linguistics.

Excoriate … effeminate … wow, four syllables each. That’s soooo girlish. How many inane pejoratives did you pore over before your tiny mind settled on one or two you thought might have an effect? I just tried to educate another ineffectual simp on the art of the insult … maybe you should study that.

Lost to Cats who sugar coaters said were horrible....Lost to a team with younger players (so much for the we are soooooo young excuse) Lost to a team with an 18 year old QB who wasn't supposed to be the starter but offense adjusted to his strengths rather than make excuses like...."just wait till we get our recruits". Lost to a defensive coordinator that was pushed out....Lost to a young energetic coach who has won the in-state recruiting.....Lost to a coach in first year having to play with the "other guys recruits". Lost to a team that has improved all season long. What a total mess Stitt has created and Haslam needs to be held accountable too. I have been labeled as the sky is falling guy....well sugar coaters looks like I wasn't so crazy after all. When I heard radio pregame and Stitt said he wasn't going to talk to team much today before the game to motivate them tgat he was just going to "get out of there way" I was amazed. ...that was right after he said after being questioned about all the penalties last year...he didn't want to reign them in. My God what a piece of work. This team was outplayed, outcoached over and over and have entered the off season/recruiting season on the decline where the Cats are on the move up fast. Thanks Haslam....thanks Stitt.

Hats off the Choate and the Cats for adjusting for a single game to beat the Griz. I'm in the "damn impressed" department that Choate had the nutsack to completely abandon a passing threat, and it worked so I have nothing but respect for that. I have nothing negative to say about MSU's performance today. But that is not the offense they were even running two weeks ago with CM. He was throwing, or attempting to throw quite a bit actually. And if you think that type of offense is sustainable over the course of a full season, or over Murray's next three years, your nuts. He's either gonna grow into a legitimate passing threat, or he will be moved to running back. Choate has no intention of playing that style for the next three seasons. Believe that. But again, hats off to him and MSU today cause that style kicked the Griz ever loving asses and I have no problem admitting that, and applauding it.

They'll be out in full force, in a couple days. Telling everyone they were waiting for all the "idiots" to die down or something along those lines. The status quo on here is too predictable, hopefully that changes soon. Our deficiencies were obvious to outsiders, and non-egrizzers who didn't constantly have the sugar being stuffed down their throats and who weren't belittled for seeing the deficiencies in this team by the self proclaimed know-it-alls on this site. Remember you're a "bad fan" if you point out the weaknesses you see in the team, because the kids have feelings and they shouldn't be allowed to be criticized...

The prior strong support for Stitt, and Semore, was not coming mostly from sugar coaters. Was coming mostly from others.

He made nine attempts, three of them very long throws.

Remind me, who else besides Daum and Chase were let go/left?

Thanks for driving my point home. You're not as smart as you think.

Now it's back to counting syllables in your dog-eared thesaurus, weird guy.

Parker and Pflug are the only other scholarship players that I can think of. 75 wants to everyone to believe that this is a unique situation to Stitt and UM and that it was a mass exodus of players.

Manu? Who now has multiple BSC (yes the Cats too) offers as well as Hawaii so apparently has talent and coaches see him as a player

Forgot Manu. Seems I remember Manu starting at the beginning, making some errors, getting benched and then leaving.

I really don't care what "everyone believes," but in fact, I said no such thing. You're trolling.

Chris Parker, incidentally, ended up at SDSU.

He left the Griz with this interesting tweet.

As they say, " ... in a battle of wits, make sure your opponent is armed." ... with something other than petty resentment ... otherwise you get babbling non sequiturs like this.

I am not now nor have I ever been a strong supporter of the current regime. I thought it was a hasty hire and was concerned about this supposed offensive genius having coached at a D-II school for so many years using the indication that he didn't want to take any of the many previous offers to move up that he had over the years. Like many however I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

However there is no doubt now that Bob Stitt is not a Division I coach and that he is anything but an offensive genius!! The inability to make even the slightest meaningful adjustments in numerous games this season shows just how stuck in running his system Stitt is. This is more a mark of ineptitude than genius! I did notice that in both the last two losses, particularly yesterday, that the qb's did call a lot of audibles, few if any which worked. So there was blame to be shared.

From a defensive perspective it is clear that if Stitt is in over his head, Semore drowned several weeks back! This guy apparently has never heard of the concept of a spy that just tracks an opponents mobile quarterback. PSU used this technique quite effectively against EWU's Gage Gubrud Friday night. It appears to be as much of an alien concept to Semore as a visit from the Planet Z is to the rest of us.

Many will say that it takes a minimum of 3 years for a new coach to get his system and personnel in place to effectively run his program. That may be, but any coach needs to show progression not regression from one year to the next. We've gone 5-3 to 3-5 in conference these past two Stitt years!!! I would not call that progression, no matter how many other excuses for what went wrong this season.

Stitt needs to go sooner rather than later before tht
