Where are our recruits coming from in MT?

Shoot, back when I was in HS (late 80's), Butte used to be up at the Bozeman/Billings West enrollment level. Now we are 2nd to last. No wonder we competed for tons of championships. No we are 2nd to last in enrollment.

Back when I was in HS (76-80) Big Sky didn't exist and Sentinel's enrollment was over 2400.

Hang on Belgrade will be AA in a couple of years

It makes it pretty impressive how dominant Dillon has been in sports, being one of the smallest A schools. Same with Fairfield in football and Choteau in basketball.

Butte Central is the smallest A school by a long shot. So small they could be a C school. Yet their girls hoops won state, softball was runner up, and volleyball was as well I believe. Then the football team has always been in the playoffs and almost won it all a couple years ago. Pretty impressive.

Griz should hire their recruiter.

They are private, right, so are they able to recruit? Billings Central is also always in the mix.

Yes a private Catholic school, but I don't necessarily think they go out of their way to recruit. They have incredible support of their athletic programS. They have been very fortunate to land some incredible athletes, many who go on to college sports. They have also had some very good and tenured coaches. Good combination.

:agree: with you on all three schools, and have touted Dillon before.

I have a niece that plays sports for Butte Central. Those girls have gone to BC since grade school, they go there for their faith and small school environment. Very little recruiting happens. BC got a good student athlete transfer from Choteau last year when her dad moved to Butte to became the BC Principle.

What the Hail are Libby, Ronan, and Anaconda doing in Class B? And what the Hail is Butte Central doing in Class A?

When I was a sophomore in Libby, we were AA. Then my Junior year we became A. Now we are B.

It kind of sucks how the logging mill shut down and the horrible mining (asbestos) fiasco.
