Hoping to see the team that beat LBSU show up Saturday to give Nevada a game, also the crowd that will get into a game. Not much of a game to get into last night...the pre season scrimmage had more drama than last nights stinker v Tech

Having watched Long Beach State a few times now, I think I might have given them more credit than they are due. It is becoming more and more obvious that the win at Pittsburgh could well have been a fluke, much like the UM win at UCLA last year. So, I would not continue flouting a win over a .500 team, at home, as a great win...good, but not noteworthy...The Griz are simply retreating this year....relying upon Selvig is a mistake, this team needs speed and the potential is already there to use it...There is no big man, no box out, nothing under the basket and the players hesitate to shoot...the Defense is fair, but the whole game is so predictable other teams of equal or greater talent are having a field day at UM's expense...This can improved by conference opening, maybe.....not really confident. We had a good schedule and it has shown just how far UM has to go...Weber is also looking a bit worse than they really are....the surprize this year, so far is MSU....who'd thunk it?first11 said:

It's the beginning of the season, they are playing sloppy basketball and losing to teams they should be beating by a decent amount. The Griz need a star. We need someone who goes out and drops 20+ every game. Honestly, the games are kind of boring right now.
Should be more people in the 2nd half of the season.

They scored 64 points against tech. That's not a fun style of basketball IMO. You are right they have a ton of exciting athletes but they just don't seem to create a buzz because of the system they run. They are marginally more exciting than the womens team. As for the lbs game that was during thanksgiving week so hard to use that as a guide.
