Man it's quiet as hell over here. Hasn't the first practice started? Is Buss dressed out or in street clothes? What's with the 2 OL rumor that seemed to be confirmed by PR? Any 'Donny Long' style no-shows or other notable absences not already reported? Any surprise additions not around this summer from late qualification? Anything at all?

Weird that you’re so interested, but since you asked, my ‘Donny Long’ has never been a no-show. Never had that problem. In fact, I usually have the opposite problem. Maybe you’re dealing with a weird Cat Person issue and should consult your physician...?

He's over in Bozeman contemplating his first-world problem of trying to figure out how to get all the surplus of new additions on the field. UW (you remember those guys...right?) drop down Sterk seems to have locked the rush end spot, but Colorado drop down Sparaco seems like he wants the job. I guess both PAC 12 guys will get to play a bunch.

Then of course he's really trying to figure out how to get the surplus of quality LB's on the field at the same time now that Hadley is back. He had to move all-BSC Konkle back to safety to help alleviate the logjam. Speaking of safety, it looked like last year's starter Henderson and Konkle had the starting spots locked down, but wait, Virginia Tech drop down Jahque Alleyne has something to say about that! He looks every bit like a starter through day 6 of practice.

Then he's got to figure out what to do about all the quality CB's and how to get them on the field throughout the year. Cole and Thomas are the returning starters, and Washington has started games and looked like a lock for nickle... but wait! Compton CC transfer Filer has something to say about that! But there's more...through day 6, the Gibson twins (3*s) have shown up and are playing like they belong on the field too! Wow. What's Ty going to do about that???

Oh yeah, I almost forgot the interior DL. It's nice to have Tucker Yates and Wright return as our starters, but wait! Williams is playing like he belongs out there too! And Benson! Of course Travis Yates and Seer Danes don't seem too pleased about that through day 6 and they are playing like they belong on the field!

Ty has his hands full but I'm sure he appreciates the concern from over here.

Next we'll probably be hearing Choate proclaim that his all-world defensive line is going to be a problem for Montana State opponents. Oh wait...

I know it's only day one of camp, but I really think the Griz should cancel the regular schedule and play all JV opponents this fall until they can get things back in order to compete with the likes of msu. Over in the land of the stadium with the nearby brown pond expectations are very high! Not even the loss of the two-year starting quarterback and all those new 3-star recruits have tempered expectations.

It will be interesting to re-visit this about Thanksgiving time this year.

Yes it will, but damn it we're FANS and we're going to talk about this NOW! :lol: On a more serious note I haven't made it to a practice yet this fall so can't speak from direct observation but there does does seem to be an awful lot of hype coming out of Bozeman about how talented and deep the defense is across the board. Not just from the coaches but media and other fan reports. I'd be curious to get Skyline's take on which team looks better at this point in the following position groups:

Interior D Line
DE
LB
Safety
Corner

Griz have huge edge at QB and WR on offense and I would say TE. Bingham is going to be good. On defense Griz have edge at Safety and DE. RB is up for grabs, Oline is the Cats

Ty and his wife and kids were at Colt's at Flathead a week ago, when we stopped by to see them. Ty looked and seemed great.

Do Colt and family spend any time at Seeley still or is he all Flathead? Had dinner one night when Colt was in college next to his uncle from Butte(a Cat fan BTW), who was up getting the family cabin ready for his daughter's 21st birthday, where she was going to be joined by Colt and some football players.
