start to really be felt? this year? 3 - 4 years from now, due to what it has done to recruiting? never? the griz football future seems even more uncertain than usual lately. it really is a bummer that so much crap has happened over the past year or so. more than a few fans will probably bail, but they will likely be replaced (in the stands). if there is more crap to come, which i fear there is.... sigh. the whole thing makes me kinda sad.

Common sense would say it will simply depend on the how severe the potential penalties are. I for one am not concerned about the loss of any "fans" because there will be plenty more to replace any that jump ship. Although I am not too concerned about the possible penalties, IF they were to be a loss of many scholarships for several years or a multiple year ban from the playoffs (the later I do not see happening), then we could see a loss talent wise of new recruits. However, even if we lose several key recruits to the cats or other schools, there should still be plenty of kids lining up to the play for the Griz to where we should not see any drop off in production.

Relax for awhile. If the NCAA had something firm they would have pounced by now. Extending the deadline on their findings is not a great sign, but not the worst either. They obviously are digging and clear evidence of a cover up is likely not readily available - if at all. They have to do their due diligence because of the Penn State mess and if they don't find anything they can say they took their time thoroughly investigating the matter. We will deal with the penalties if and when they come. End of the Grizzlies - Cat fans only wish! Time to turn our focus to the season and let the chips fall where they may. What's done is done.

The Cat fans that want to see an end to the griz are not Cat fans, they're douche bags. The griz have it goin on in Missoula and that's what we are trying to reach. Good football, every year. Your troubles are not ours. We've had ours and I hope for the most part, they are behind us. But, shit happens. For all you young bucks and johnny come latelys, I remember when your team sucked at football. So get off your high fuckin horse. Don't talk shit if you didn't give money, play, coach or do something to help the team other then show up to games. Your crowd is great. Some of the posters on here, not so much. That's from someone who really likes his griz friends and Missoula.
