When the Cats Beat UC Davis…

I do believe Davis is a top 5 team with everyone healthy. Every team is banged up this time of year, but I think Davis has had a few more than average. The "15 players out for the year" seems pretty close.

Yesterday it was announced UC Davis lost Carter Vargas (6' RB who split carries with Jordan Fisher) for the season. He was having a great season. He and Fisher were quite the 1-2 punch.

For Idaho, they suited up 4 guys who've never been in a game and 1 guy who had never been on a plane.

On the defensive side, the major losses have been Rex and Porter Connors. Starters all over the starting defense have been in and out of the starting lineup all year.
3 preseason All-Americans out for the year. Connors x2 and Winston Williams TE.

Whatever the point spread ends up being, its definitely accurate.

Well, I don’t think the Cats secondary is very good. Then again, the Grizzlies isn’t either with all the injuries. Have to take you and your families word for it. Statistically, the Griz are struggling defensively. Cats front four have been tough. If Ah Yat has time, they can put up a lot of points on the Cats with the passing game. I hope Pease gets creative.
On 14 sacks by Cats so far, pretty weak. Not many picks. Griz are good against run most of time. We shall see.

Hmmmm the cats have the best pass defense in the conference statistically. It doesn't get easier in the rushing statistics either.
I think the griz will be able to score on them but I think the cats will score too. It's going to come down to how disruptive the griz defense is.

It is all moot. It all comes down to the Brawl!
Exactly. When my cat fan buddies come at me with stats indicating their team will have the upper hand in the game, all I have to do is point out the recent games in which the underdog (who led in all major stats) blew the doors off the favorite. Stats and previous records mean jack shit. MSU is at a point as a program where they are on par with UM. Gone are the days when the outcome of the game was a forgone conclusion. Thank God this is finally a true rivalry again. Not knowing how this game will go is truly exciting.

Note - until the home team loses this game, I feel like there is no reason for this trend to stop. Hope it is a better game than the last time they met at Wa-Griz.

I don't think the Cat team matches up well with this years Griz team/

I believe our defense will stop the Cat run game. I also believe that until he proves he can win a game throwing the ball Lambson isn't going to do what EWUs QB did last weekend to our secondary. Not to mention I don't think the Cats have the skill players that EWU does. They have Taco, but no lettuce, tomato or sour cream.

On the flip side the Cat front is better than our OL. We are gonna need to roll the pocket and run Ah Yat a few time to compensate. If that works I do not see how they score enough points to beat us at home. These comments are based on the Griz playing a clean game and limiting penalties. If we have turnovers and excessive flags that changes everything. Straight up I don't see this game any harder than UND and we won that one basically playing good for only 2 quarters.

Could I be wrong? Sure anything is possible but I am not wrong

They are without 3 preseason all Americans, the Connors boys and a stud tight end.
The Rex injury was stupid. In like week 2 or 3, they had him in a goal line run and was injured for the season. Broken collarbone i think? The TE isn't a super big loss, their other TE's have stepped up well. Not sure about O line but the only other injures on offense is their 2nd and 3rd string RB's. QB will probably be a Fr All American and their RB and WR could be All Con. Their 2nd and 3rd WR's are big time playmakers as well.

I like their QB a lot. He’s a stud

You have to also keep in mind that UC Davis is like SDSU right now…..a shell of themselves. Did you know Davis has 15 guys out for the season with injury. Outside of their quarterback, they have basically lost all their studs.

The cats will win by three scores and be pounding their chest. But even Indiana state took down South Dakota state in this situation
Wow - didn't know it was that bad. I kind of just assume MSU was going to win anyways but now this seems like a lock

I agree. This one especially should be a game or the ages. Both teams are good. The Cats struggle when the game is in Missoula, so advantage Griz. Last time the Cats won in Missoula was 2018. The Griz haven't won in Bozeman since 2015. Home field has been a huge advantage. I think the winner this year has an excellence chance of winning the natty. NDSU is not as good this year.

The Cats are about to find out what they really are made of. UCD and the Griz will show them how good they actually are. The loss to SDSU was one of the ugliest games I’ve seen all year. It would have been a “good loss” if it wasn’t such a god awfully played football game. The better team won at the end. On the road. Otherwise they’ve proved they can beat some teams down. The Griz would have beaten that SDSU team at home. Everyone can take a deep breath on these bobcats until they beat a good team
