What's the best way to get GOOD seats to a game?

I live in Helena and like travelling to Missoula for games. Does anyone know how I can get good seats. Would like 2 for the Washington State game this weekend.

Walk up to the ticket office, but 2 general admission tickets, and sit wherever you want. The stadium is only half-full at most games.
 
YEAH YOU CAN GO UP TO THE TICKET OFFICE AND "BUT" 2 GENERAL ADMIN. TICKETS, BUT THERE ARE USHER'S THERE TO CHECK YOUR TICKETS. YOU WILL HAVE TO SIT WHERE YOUR TICKETS ARE. THERE ARE HOWEVER PLENTY OF GOOD SEATS AVAILABLE ON GAME DAYS.
 
fijigriz, ushers do not exactly check that closely. I know people who buy the $3 cheap seats and then go sit in south east side.

There are entrances where you can enter without having ushers check your ticket. Where I sit, there are stairs to get to them. Ushers do not stand in front of the stairs to the seats where I sit, so easy for anybody to just enter the reserved seating area.

So, really, to be honest, it is best to be dishonest, and buy a $3 ticket and sneak into the reserved seating. Chances of you sitting in somebodies seat is small considering that the attendance has been less than 50% of capacity.

Other than that you could pay $2 to $3 more and get a better seat in the south end if being dishonest is uncomfortable for you.

But the reserved seats are small. They may have been designed by Japanese who are small in stature. Plus the seats are so close together there isn't much knee room. This may have more to do for the lack of attendance than the quality of the team that we watch.
 
Another thing, if you're going to sneak in, sit high up. Less chance of sitting in somebodies reserved seats.

Other than that, reserved seats available are really not that expensive and plenty available, so no need to be sneaking into somebody else's seats.
 
The south end isn't reserved seating...its the other half of the student section. They changed it last season...so technically its general admission. But you have to deal with the rowdy students who don't like to sit down...hehe.

I was talking more about seats on second level. Seats down on first level will be harder to get as all of those have been reserved or for students. Plus, the lower level seats will be harder to sneak into.
 
Before you rush up top the ticket window look around to see if anybody is selling seats - about 1/2 the time somebody is selling reserved season tickets or comp tickets cheap ($3-$4 for a $10 ticket). You can't count on it, but it sometimes works.
 
Thanks Grizbeer. I might try that. I won't be buying cheap tickets and then trying for better seats in hopes that someone won't come along.

If you don't pack the house, seating isn't going to be a problem. We don't pack the house anymore. Blows, but what are you gonna do?

grizgirl, not to pick on you, but the north is the general admission. the south is infact reserved seating, other than the lower part that doesn't have seats at all and is the "Kennedy Krazies" section which isn't crazy at all.

I post this only to clarify so that others, un-familiar with the place don't get lost.

oh, by the way the seats on the south side are great if you want to chew on your knees and cut off circulation.
the general admition seats in the north are much better for roominess.
