what worries me most about the scats....

I don’t think they’ll run all over is. Our run D has gotten better and better. They may pass all over us though. Need to pressure Lamson early and often. He does some great things but shits his pants a bit under pressures as well. He’s a good runner so need to be aware of that too
How are they going to throw all over us? They have Taco and thats it. You don't think he is gonna be locked down with Loud covering him? They cant beat us throwing the ball.

Now do the cats, how are they gonna cover Wortham, Gale, Davis and Hendrix and Gilman on the wheel? LOL

Honestly, I think the Griz will be just fine vs MSU. Gameplan to stop the run (which our defense is very good at stopping) and force them to be prolific passing the ball. Same gameplan as sac. Make them one dimensional and bank on us being able to withstand their blows. They’re going to get their yards and they’re going to get their points. But I think if we stop their run game and force them to pass all game we win.

I don’t think Loud will be back unfortunately and we have given up a ton of passing yards to every QB we play. They will have a hard time covering all our guys too. Should be a battle

We just gotta accept that they’re going to get a lot of yards passing the ball. Take their run game completely away though like we did to Sac and we win

It seemed that Davis should have been up a few points. Now I'm starting to think the Cats may take control in 2d half or sooner. Davis just keeps making too many mistakes on O. Dropped balls. Bad plays. But who knows.

It's been good to watch Davis hang with the cats, but I'm not sure they pull this one out. I hope our staff will be watching this game and taking lots of notes. Lots of ways to play the cats based on how Davis is playing them.

I think this is correct. I suspect the defense will play the under front with the sam lb playing on the los with edge responsibility. With the mike and will, playing gaps. That will force the cats into throwing. That is where the game will be won or lost.
I think the offense will be hitting the seam routes which seems to be the soft spot for the cat defense. This is going to be a very interesting game.

You do know that the griz defense is the worst passing D in the conference don't you?

No, you are incorrect. Look at all pass defense-related stats, not just 1. Start with interceptions and sacks. Red zone defense. Pass defense efficiency. Completion percentage. Things like passing TD’s. Yards per pass. Yards per completion. QB Hurry’s. Passing TD’s given up. I think interceptions is now 2d in nation.

Can you break that down to anything specific? Or do you just have a feeling?

Outside of Oregon and NAU, have the Cats played in a hostile road environment this year? Serious question because it matters. They won’t have the friendly confines of Reno Broken Halo stadium to settle into. They are literally playing in the mouth of the dragon.
