What will the BSC look like

In 5 to 10 years for football. Will all the current members still be part of it? Will any drop football or move along. Will we see new members join?

There appears to be changes coming to college football which will have a domino effect. Some programs will have to s--t or get off the pot so to speak.

So what are your thoughts?

I for one think the BSC will have a differ look to it within that time. I think we could see a couple teams move out and a couple move in from some Div II ranks. Maybe Western Oregon and Central Washington. I think both UM and MSU are part of that BSC!

If the Big 5 does not allow "FCS" games, I could see Sac State, C Poly, PSU and maybe even EWU wanting to be in the 2nd tier FBS, or whatever it will be so they have those payday games. I would imagine the SBC would take them to get more western teams for the SBC. I think for these programs to survive they will have to take that leap. Each program has Big 5 teams in there state. I know, you might be thinking, what about NAU and Webs. I think they stay in the BSC and struggle along.

I could see UNC, SUU and sadly even UC Davis bag football or maybe even drop to the next level, whatever it may be! Same could be said for ISU.

I think UND moves into MVC or similar to fill a void that opens there. Maybe fill NDSU spot if they go SBC route.

Seriously, if we are still in the BSC in 10 years with the likes of Western Oregon, Central Washington, UNC, etc., I will have moved on and become a fan of a school in Texas. Maybe A&M, since the colors are the same....I'll have to think about that one. I have no desire to stick around and watch a slow slide into oblivion.

If we aren't playing Wyoming, Air Force, Nevada, Utah State, Boise, UNLV, Colorado State, etc., as conference games at that point I'm gonzo....

If Mr. Fullerton's plan comes to fruition there will be 47 teams in the Big Sky Conference by 2024. And still just one division.

And we'll have more directionals than Google Maps.

Tony's wants our business, EG. Have you been there? I was there a couple of weeks ago, wearing a griz shirt and the owner came up to me and asked me about Sluggers. Said they would gladly take our business. They had a Griz flag hanging in the bar and said they would show all the games. Fantastic wings and a waiter from St. Ignatius. If anything they are good business people.

Five-way ties for the auto-bid with no conference championship game, and tie breakers that go back 4 years.

"Because SUU beat Prairie View A&M in 2020, and U San Diego beat Central WA in 2021, and MSU and EWU did double dutch rudders in a Kansas City tie-breaker in 2022, UC-Davis gets the auto-bid in 2024 even though they lost to three teams with whom they are tied."

If you question it, you don't know shit about football.

This is perfect and the only way that true champions should be crowned!

Anything that the Bison, Griz, or similar institutions want in 5-10 years had better be a huge part of planning and discussion today or WE will all be complaining about the same issues in 5-10 years.
We can become victims by only reacting instead of being proactive. As the saying goes "You can eat dust or you can make dust.

If the Griz want to be in a conference with those schools in 10 years, the Griz need to be preparing NOW to make that happen. And it doesn't seem to me that you have the leadership in place currently, to make that happen.

Finding true visionary leadership in most of academia is the exception rather than the rule. When it is present, all to often it scares the BeJesus out the very same people that did the hiring. Most people have to be led, finding someone they will follow is the hard part.
