We really can't proceed regarding a new coach because we have a coach with another year under contract. Further, it most likely would be a futile effort until the results of the NCAA investigation is announced and Engstrom moves bask to South Dakota.

Contracts are never more relevant than when things don't work out and you need clear terms for departure. Now is that time.

Cruzado doesn't get rid of our starting QB's. That's one of the things I like about her. The UM president, however....

Cruzado doesn't get rid of our starting QB's. That's one of the things I like about her. The UM president, however....

Didn't realize RE was the one who arrested JJ on alleged rape charges. Pretty sure RE has nothing to do with that, but I guess facts don't really matter...just outrageous statements.

Showing some improvement by the season's end would be a nice first step. I don't feel like the team has shown any improvement since start of the season. FWIW I felt the same way Pflugard's first season. Game 1 looked just like game 11. A winning season would help as well. Even winning out probably won't sell me at this point. I'll just have to wait until next year (just like with Pflu).

Petrino is a good coach obviously, just has a hallow soul.

...a hallow(ed) Soul? O.K. Verily, I say, the Soul is sacred and greatly venerated as Holy. But when it comes down to a person's security contingent on what is said and/or done?..Let's leave the Soul to damn itself to either Heaven or Hell, or whichever, as the case reguires, and grant unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar, then. Or, whatever. I thought this was a football thread and now we're talking about how hallowed a Soul someone has; geez. If only.

I am an 18 year kid comparing schools and trying to figure out where I will spend the next four or five years of my life playing football. In walks a 70 year old man who I can't relate to in the least bit. The only chance we have for recruits is to send the assistant coaches for all recruiting visits. Recruiting is a sale and the Griz are going to have a tough time closing the deal if MD is making the pitch. Hate to be harsh, but his age and outlook matter.
