IDK if I would use the term "brutal". Especially when it comes to the Big Sky. Year to year this conference changes so much, you just don't know what it holds. Obviously Oregon and UC Davis are automatic losses for the Griz next year, and South Dakota on the road to open the season the Griz will be underdogs in that game too. On the other hand, The Griz get Idaho State (Without Gueller and their entire OL), Eastern Washington, Idaho (Terrible and likely to have a new coaching staff) and Weber all at home. So while those teams, minus Idaho, are all very good, I will never say the Griz at home are automatic losses against anyone. Auto wins at home like it used to be? Nope, of course not. But, auto losses? No.

Just like you, and much of the Cat fanbase has been saying for three years now "young team, new staff needing time to change the culture and build for the future", that's exactly where the Griz are right now. Funny how that works huh.

Agree to disagree. I'd call that brutal and you'll be lucky to go .500 even with significant improvement on the OL. North Alabama and Monmouth aren't gimmies. Plus you forgot to mention your away games @ SAC, PSU, and MSU. I don't know if any of those games will be easy.

if we can recruit TWO high quality tough dudes on the offensive line from drop downs or j.c. ranks, it could change everything imo. yes, it may mean that we take a bit of a risk on the academic side....i doubt if they are going to be Rhodes scholars or even score very high on the wonderlic test.

Why would you say that? You think all transfers are terrible students? Or just all offensive lineman?

Next year will be brutal and Hauck has his work cut out for him. The schedule sucks and the Griz need drop downs at O line, CB, D Line and running back IMO. Yes running back. There are strengths on the roster for sure, but there are also gaping damn holes. I like Sneed as an athlete and leader, but a QB who could pass would also help immensely. Knowing all that - I still think the trajectory of the program is a positive and the team will gradually improve. Not sure about the team in Bozo though.
