I am one of those guys that believes when Stitt was hired, he inherited a program that was lacking in talent overall, some positions not overly talented and some that lacked depth talent. As of today, I don't think those have shown to be overly improved.

While reading the many comments supporting Bob Stitt and the future of our program, it has become obvious that there are two camps in Griz Nation. One camp seems to be satisfied by taking baby steps toward being a national power once again, and always seems to find positive things from losses like the Weber game, even though the game was over at halftime, and we still lost by 14.
The second camp wants to see us go deep into the playoffs this season, and to return NOW to being a national power once again.

My question is..... which camp are you in? If you are in the first camp, are you willing to accept the fact that we are not, nor are unlikely to be, a national power in the near future? If expectations for the fan base becomes mollified, I assure you the program will seek that level and stay there.

Until we demand a better product on Saturdays, nothing will change. We enjoy way too many recruiting advances to be sitting as the #6 place team in the big sky, and unrated nationally. But if that is good enough for the masses, then that what we will continue to be.

While watching the Weber game, I could not help but notice the many empty seats in their glorified high school stadium, and the fact that they were able to recruit athletes to play in that stadium which were good enough to beat us by 14 points was very troubling to me. It is the same situation all over the Big Sky. Yet we continue to remain a middle-of-the-pack team. We are either being out-recruited for talent, or being severely out-coached (or both). Until Griz fans come to terms with these facts, nothing will change.

What "baby steps" do you speak of?

Defense is as awful as it has been in a long time, ST look no better than the day stitthead got here, offense is predicated on having a QB play at an all BSC first team level, all the while having little to no power run game and an inability to make the simple plays.

Only baby steps I see is from stitthead & co pooping down their own legs over and over again

It's just time to move on and be done with the Stitt experiment. The Weber game has become the norm for the Stitt era. Fan base gets excited because we beat some bottom feeders. We face an above average team and lose. Sometimes in ugly fashion. You take your moral victories of, oh we play hard in the second half and shove them. We got trucked plain and simple. All the pajama boys can have their we have the nicest stuff posts and feel superior but at the end of the day if you aren't winning what does it really mean? This is a mediocre team and will remain so if Stitt stays. How long does he need? 5 years, 10? What felt different about last Saturday to the Liberty game two years ago?

If we're sticking to facts here..your stadium isn't BARELY smaller....its about 10k people smaller....basically the difference in stadium capacity is larger than the amount of people that show up to watch your football games....

Numbers are fun.

I was pretty sure we were not going to win the Weber game. Yes, losing sucks. I went into the Washington game thinking we were not going to win and it still hurt. But emotions do not lead to good decisions.

The Griz are playing with a very young roster, a secondary that got torched by the best QB in the conference, and a freshman QB. 9-2 is a lot to ask of that right now. We will get to a point where that is the minimum, but we are not there yet.

I'm still confident in this staff and the future. I want some damn stability in this program.
