What is everyone doing to hunker down and where?

Business as usual for now. Only thing that seems to be in short supply right now is TP, but I buy in bulk anyways so was well stocked up.

I had an idea some of this was coming, so had been stocking up slowly on Lysol, Got the freezer full, plenty of dog food, coffee and enough bacon to last a month

How in the hell did you find 150 lbs. of bacon?

We have shut down school as of today, marks frozen, no time table for a return. Alberta has already told it's students that they are done for the year. And school up here runs until the end of June. I've doubled my beer purchases as a precaution.
And yet somehow our bowling league is still rolling, the dude abides.

Important to keep some semblance of normalcy in times like these. So: corned beef as the main dish tonight. Oddly enough, the paper aisle was cleaned out, but Albertson's had plenty of corned beef. Visions of Reuben sandwiches in the near future. Yum! :thumb:

Luckily we've been working from home for years, so no change in that regard.

I can brew beer so I figure I’ll have plenty of bartering opportunity if this lasts long term and the economy has a complete collapse 🍺🍺🍺

Well I’m a UM student and were online for the foreseeable future. Right now I’m in Hawaii for spring break, but when I get back, I’m gonna move back home since I don’t expect us to go back to class this semester. My parents were nice enough to let me back into the house so I’ll be taking classes from their basement lol.

What part of social distancing do you not get. Have fun there and I hope to heaven you don't infect your parents on return.

I read the groups of tech workers who have been asked to work from home, are renting houses together in places like Hawaii, to work from there. No basements for them.

Costco. While everyone else was fighting over TP and Baby Wipes, I was all alone in the bacon aisle.

Well I’m with my parents so I think I’m good there  my friends are too cheap to go on a spring break trip, so I had to settle

Defense contractor (fire fighter) out on Kwajalein Atoll.

Republic of the Marshall Islands (local government) stopped all international arrivals a few weeks back and just extended the ban to 12 April. There are no cases of Covid-19 out here (yet), so that's a plus. Downside is that we've lost so many people recently to contract expiration that we've reached critical manning levels. My last time off the clock was 8 February, when I had the night off, and they're predicting mid July at the earliest for getting more people here.
