No other players lost schoolies, were kicked out of school (in fact, the several who fought the university proceeding won the proceeding), or were convicted of anything (only one in this category was JJ).

Because it's pretty clear that Hauck built the culture that allowed it to happen before leaving. The rapes didn't take place under Delaney. Are we trying to say they didn't happen? Because that's kinda shitty. And anyways, wasn't Hauck kind of an ass to the administration? If something like that did happen, don't you think he would have been canned?

First what “rapes”? As far as I know there was 1 rape conviction when Donaldson plead guilty. And 1 guy tried and found “not guilty”, JJ, who was a Pflugrad recruit. Facts are enlightening....aren’t they? If you have knowledge of any other rape trials I’ve missed please share.

Whatever else Hauck was, there would NOT have been a rape scandal (and yes PR rightly or wrongly the WAS a scandal) He took care of business quickly in house and definitively. Perhaps in a not PC matter, but done. He dealt with potentially far worse scandal when he was here pretty darn effectively. There would have been very little left to the bumblers in Main hall to deal with. Hell he would have not had the problems Kramer did at MSU.

His dealings with the kaiman although criticised went no where. As much as i didn't like his public persona. He dealt with the kaiman as good parent, or teacher would have. They learned something - the hard way.

Frankly, after a few years putting the program back together, I could see him moving to the AD position. I suspect what we will see is a fair amount of similarity between he and our new prez. They will be a good team.

I'm just not looking forward to several years of his "little run up the middle"

First off, NL, the GD stuff isn't necessary. 2) HT69 is right about RP. He was being proactive in cleaning up some areas of concern before the real idiot fired him. He even disciplined some kids that were falsely accused of something the police felt was not worthy of charges due to video evidence (I was informed by someone with direct access to the information). But due to being in the wrong place, RP still disciplined 3-4 players-not his recruits. The accusation was right before they got on a plane for a playoff game in TX-talk about distracting and they did play like crap in the first half of that game. After this incident, RP was doing a good job of educating the players on how to treat women as well as nutrition, studies etc. He wanted the kids to be more than just football players. I think RP was going to be a great long term coach for the Griz and his spread offense was only going to get better. It's really too bad the BOR hired the idiot RE. His hideous ability in handling media/PR etc was killer for UM and is the reason why people like HP69 still bring the subject up.
Back to subject, I will be happy to get Hauck back.
