What I Saw From the TCU 3-3-5

So you you're saying 3-3-5 isn't a sound defense then. It's either poor scheme or poor preparation. Which one is it?

It's not just scheme or performance. It's also personnel and how each teams plays in a particular game. It's also subject to injuries.

So now you're putting own the quality of our our players.

Now, I'm discussing the 3-3-5 generally. The UM D played poorly in the Cat game. Probably the worst game of the season for them. No team brings its A game every week. That's not possible.

No team brings it’s A game but considering this is one of the biggest rivalries west of the Mississippi, you should have your best game.

Perhaps, but even no team brings its A game to rivalry games all the time.

Do you think TCU brought its A game to the championship game?

I think we’ve laid a massive egg now two trips in a row to Bozeman which weren’t even close to competitive and are inexcusable.

And the Cats had a massive egg their last trip to Missoula. Inexcusable to what? To a bunch of fans who don't understand the game and never played it?

I love how you only fall back on about 4 diatribes. I did play the game. Take that elitist attitude back to Dartmouth. Actually that mentality would fit right in over east of the divide. I think they have room on the bandwagon.

As for our performance against the cats, once is a mistake, twice is a choice and three times is a pattern. I would say blowing a three td lead and handing the ball off out of the shotgun at 5 yards deep on the goal line was a mistake. Not having a good team prepared for Bozeman in 2019 was a choice and doing it again in 2022 was a pattern. But as you pointed out I must not have played the game because I disagree with you and because my doctorate wasn’t from Dartmouth it must not be as good as yours. 🙄

And what about 2021?

I’ve never known a PhD who new anything about football except Kem.

Seems like the anomaly out of the 4 now doesn’t it?

That’s pretty funny considering Stitt was filleted on this site because his teams didn’t seem to have the “A game” in the rivalry.

The best quote from Entz at his postgame press conference following their dismanteling of the Griz. Reporter, "When did you know you would be able to run the ball consistently?" Entz, "When we watched their film"

Mellot said something similar regarding the cat game

Yep. He Tommy sure did. But we all know how adept Bobby is at game-time adjustments. Uhhhhh, not so much. But the QB Club still hangs on his every word. Bobby sings his song, and they all tap their feet in perfect time

Nope, because the first round was just a lucky odd turnaround at the end of game. It looks to me that recent history, and with the Cats' new coach, it's 1-1.

Lucky odd turn around??? We didn’t even show up the second half. We were up by three touchdowns and they had zero points on the board. They made halftime adjustments and we made none. That’s not luck. It’s poor play, poor coaching , or both by our team. I’d love to live with your blinders.

I’m not a Hauck hater and think we are in a better position than where we were with Delaney or Stitt. However, as a fan you do have to look at objective measures. We can do that with Hauck’s own list of goals. Graduate. We are succeeding. Beat the cats, win the conference, win national championship, we are not. Like the cat record this is a 1-3 record of accomplishments. Hauck set his own bar. He needs to start meeting his own goals. Pure and simple. He talks about recruiting for next August so we will see if the steps he is taking to move forward now come to fruition next fall.

The game the Cats won after the Choate called the "late" TO as the Griz scored. The first round of the Cat-Griz series you were talking about.
