What does Stitt want in . . .

Can take the physical nature and stay on the field are important....too many RBs have not been able to play. Doesn't matter how talented a player is, or how strong/fast if they can't suit up on Saturdays
 
he needs the fastest, quickest, strong arm quarterback in the country with a mind that can read defense on the snap. what he got away with in division 2 doesnt or will not work as well the higher the divisions of football. unfortunately those kids are identified early in high school and end up in the fbs. maybe he can get the clemson kid to transfer in. he needs offensive lineman that can run 90 plays a game, maintain 300 lbs.+, and play with power and finese. thats a lot to ask from a lineman, but required to play his style of football. maybe a trip to FANTASY ISLAND.

Running back? Who the heck cares... Only needs one that can hold on to the ball long enough to go 3 and out a few times to start the game so he can figure what the defense it doing.

I want to know what he wants in a sports drink. Does it hydrate quickly? Is it low in calories? Does it come in maroon color? I am pretty sure that's the stuff first and foremost in his mind right now.
 
My guess, a guy that can catch and run the ball, doesn't fumble or drop passes. Gets 3-5 yards per attempt but can break a big one. Can pass protect. Can run to the outside or the inside. Has good vision. Has good speed but is a bruiser too. Once in a while can throw a pass on a flea flicker/trick play. I think I covered it.

Oh, and knits with his grandmother on Sundays......

An interesting point. I've been mulling the 90+ game philosophy since the season started, watching the game play numbers as they go up and down; haven't really seen a correlation -- either way -- with "win" or "lose," and figured would just have to see another season. If Griz get a "bigger" line, perhaps that will offer a better perspective on the strategy.

Yes, the 90+ plays/game thing was kind of hit and miss last year...and it didn't necessarily correlate to wins or losses.

NDSU: 92/73 (win)
CP: 92/89 (loss)
Liberty: 67/71 (loss)
NAU: 89/68 (win)
UCD: 97/74 (win)
WSU: 77/72 (loss)
UND: 69/71 (win) (scoring drives much shorter: 9, 7, 4, 3, 3, 3)
PSU: 83/64 (loss)
ISU: 99/93 (win/OT) (ISU had 2nd highest PPG in 2014, so their # of plays is not surprising)
EWU: 85/84 (win)
MSU: 87/77 (win)
SDSU: 73/84 (win)
NDSU: 65/69 (loss)

# plays in losses: 89, 71, 72, 64, 69. CP is the outlier.
# plays in wins: 92, 89, 97, 69, 99, 85, 87, 73. UND & SDSU the outliers.

I like the uptempo philosophy, but it doesn't correlate to number of plays in a game as much as it correlates to plays in a drive, and our ability to keep the other team from substituting. NDSU did a pretty good job of running subs in during the 2nd game.

I know Manu Rasmussen is young and I am sure he will develop into a really good hard hitting safety for us. That being said, he looked lost last year at times. If he continues to have a hard time figuring it out and one of the other young safeties steps up..Sandry/Jerrin Williams..I think it would be fun to see what kind of RB he could be. His highlights from Tigard were pretty good.

I heard Manu did not show up for Spring semester. Can anyone else verify. Word was he got into Stitt's doghouse and never got out. Would be big opportunity for younger safeties if true.
