the good news is that even if you go 7-5 you'll still be elite...
Well it would be tough to argue that we wouldn't be the most elite 7-5 team in the FCS, at least of the teams located in the western part of the country but more to the north but not near the Pacific coast. Suck on that!

Each one is hard fought but the Griz win out on the four remaining games.

Book it Danno. :ugeek:

Here is what I said before the Cal Poly game: "The Griz will win big...bank on it."

Yeah, it was false bravado. I'm so ashamed. I cried on Eriul's shoulder. Then PR gave me a little neck rub and I felt better.

I was also over-confident against Coastal Carolina at the end of last season, especially in the cold and the loud. So you'd think I would have learned my lesson.

I'm trying to get better, I really am. I so want to believe you, '82, but gosh darn it, I refuse!

This is pretty funny. Good job AWF.

Uh, if it was PR, that wasn't your neck he was rubbing...........

9-3, and 8-4 are impossible to achieve because we would qualify for playoffs. I'm a fan first and foremost (no negative vibes).....and I believe we go 12-4 this year.

Have we gotten to the point yet where we can be happy if we beat our in-state rival? If so, then we have achieved the status that MSU attained from around 1990-2012. Pretty cool!

Wait, MSU beat their in-state rival from 1990-2012? Did the NCAA take away all our wins?

Bad grammar on my part. What I meant is every year they claimed, because it is all they really had, that if they could beat us that would mean they had a good season.

Honest opinion from a Eags fan... You beat Sac State and Southern Utah, lose to EWU with "Shooter" back, and lose to MSU to close it outyour season as MSU may be playing for sole possession of the BSC championship, or at least a share of it, and will come out on fire in WaGriz...

You need a new coaching staff. They are scary bad and there's no reason UM shouldn't be in the playoffs every year other than that old man and his staff.

Can somebody translate this for me? Somebody other than an EWU English professor, I mean?

Posters still thinking this team will make the playoffs. Unbelieveable. Nothing short of divine intervention would make that happen.

Not "thinking," just hoping. Honestly, Southern Utah is the only team that worries me at this point.

Just what have you seen this season that makes a "win out" scenario even remotely possible? :? More likely 7-5 or 6-6 and no playoffs (again.) Under Delaney, in 2.5 seasons, the Griz have beaten exactly one team having a winning record against FCS or better opponents. Take a look at the combined records of the teams the Griz have beaten this year. :o

It is interesting to look at the records of the FCS teams the Griz have beat during the 2.5 year reign of MD.

In 2012, the Griz had 4 FCS wins against teams that had a combined record that year of 8-37. No wins against a team with a winning record.

In 2013 the Griz had 9 wins against FCS schools that had a combined record of 45-57. The only win against a team with a winning record was the Cats.

In 2014, the Griz have 4 wins against FCS schools that have a combined record of 8-23. No wins against a team with a winning record.

In the last four games, they play two teams with a winning record (Eastern and MT State), one with a .500 record (Sac State) and one with a losing record (So. Utah) against FCS teams.

If the trend of not beating schools with a winning record continues, the Griz lose 2 more and wind up with a 7-5 record. If either Sac State or So. Utah pull off a win, then 6-6.

Interesting stats. But we are still an elite program, remember? :fuel:

Really? I was thinking that would be your only win in November
