What could have been? Evaluating all the turnover...

I would like to see a break down of our incoming players this year vs all the guys who chose not to comeback/transfer and or who committed and backed out/didn't work out. It would be interesting to see how the incoming guys stack up against all they guys we could have had. Or to put it another way if you could pick from all they guys that could have been Griz this year, how do the 5 we actually got stack up. Unfortunately I don't have all the info to make this list, but I'll list some and maybe someone can do a more formal full list.
This is rough list let me know if I missed anything or have anything wrong.

From what I see we recruited enough Frosh guards. From a team comp standpoint looking at this list the only two guys I'm sad we missed out on were Jack Williams and Tony Miller. Williams, Miller, Cater, Kramer vs Samuelson, Steadman, and Owens?

Pretty sure Dorsey was a medical retirement. Kramer ended up at Minnesota State, Carter hasn't landed anywhere yet per VC.

You left out Yagi Selchuk who isn't eligible to compete until December.

If Steadman were eligible this year, I'd say that we didn't lose any ground. As it is, with Gaskins a ? re immediate eligibility, I think we take a bit of a step back this year. Assuming everyone stays healthy and Samuelson and Yagi can make significant contributions, we'll be very competitive come the BSC tourney.

Next year, with Steadman on the court, we'll be difficult to beat.

That list shows me we are light years ahead of what could have been. That turnover is good for those that left and great for us. I really like who we have. And you need to think beyond next year.

If you include Rollie, you need to include the four verbals we have for next year. We didn’t lose ground there, and I think it is healthy for Rollie to leave Missoula and strike some distance away on his own.

One name jumps out at me from the "Could Have Been" list: Tony Miller. He would have been a nice bridge between the veteran team of last year and the Fab Five of this. As to the rest? Sayanora!

But one word comes to mind when I look at the "What We Got" list: Upside! The Sky is not the limit with the this bunch. They could put us on the national map.

Oops Ill take Rollie off, I was thinking he would have come in this year. Yeah I think we had some addition by subtraction although maybe I am alone but I thought Carter had a bit of potential he had legit size and was fatletic and move a lot less awkwardly than Kramer.
